Bookmakers push endless concessions at punters but when they use them regularly they (all but) lose their account for years, it’s a big scam.

The latest I have lost this week was Paddy Power, seemingly for using the ‘Power Boosts’ offered to me, to bet on antepost bets. (Lost Ladbrokes and William Hill the same way last year)

Thankfully I have no bookies offering boosts from anyone allowing them to be used on antepost betting now, so I may be able to keep the remaining accounts open through the NH season.

If I have, then I won’t be taking the price boosts anyway.

I am not sure how asking a friend to open an account would work anyway (for any bookmakers restricting us)
- whose personal details, email and bank card would the account use?

I have a good friend who kindly opened a Paddy's and Sky account for me under his details and puts on weekly bets for me. I only put on just over enough bets each week to get the freebets. However, the Sky account may be restricted soon as could not even get ?5 EW on Raymond Tusk the other day when he was at 22s(SP was 80s).

I've also roped my brother into opening a Sky account for me and will soon ask him to do Paddy's too. My sister had a Paddy's account opened for me too but I logged into her account from my phone when I was visiting her once and the account was then restricted straight away.

I've never known any freebets come my way from Hills as both the accounts I use have some restrictions and I'm worried they will be lost soon.

Yeah, Paddy's are quite good with their technology. I was ok with just my wife's account and mine for a long time getting freebets and winning but then I got greedy and opened another account in my dad's name with his details but logging on from my home. They clocked it pretty quickly and restricted all 3 accounts!

However, the Sky account I opened with my Dad's details was surprisingly ok for a while until I won a treble. I don't do any multis now on non-restricted accounts accounts apart from 365 who I think are pretty good in letting you win without restricting.

I’m waiting to get shown the door by Paddy Powers any day soon. I’ve already got 120 AP bets on with them, the majority roll ups and free bets which I’ve saved power boosts for. If I’m fortunate in March and I hand them the kicking I’m aiming for I’ll be shut down for sure. It’s really bad form on their behalf, completely unfair but they are untouchable.

What continues to concern me is that a few companies now have a monopoly of online gambling and a few of them own all the big companies. If you get restricted by Paddy Powers then they can easily do the same at Sky Bet and Betfair etc

My hope is that because I regularly bet small stake doubles, roll overs etc and many lose I’ll slip through the net. If not then a few of us will be reversing the trend in a few years and opening our own bookies!!

It was with without WiFi. I'm now planning to get some genuine accounts opened and buy separate mobile phones to use away from my home to see if that could work. It's starting to be annoying having to use 4 or more accounts on larger price horses just to get 0.5pt ew.

I think the best way to do it is to use a separeate VPN for each set of accounts. My understanding is that using 4G data is no different to Wifi apart from that it gives you a separate IP address, but it does not change every time. So you could run two sets of accounts off your Wifi and 4G, but then you have to remember which ones are for which. I just can't be bothered with that except maybe when opening new accounts especially with Skybet. I think it is much better to place regular mug bets that you layoff on the exchange. Although there is a little bit of accounting involved to make sure you record your small losses each time. Winning is what will flag your account more than IP addresses in my opinion.

You can also experiment with different IP addresses on Betfair which shows you what number you are logged in on each time and historically

I’m having a look at Skybets offer of Shiskin and Envoi Allen goin unbeaten all season which is 33/1,both horses need 3 runs or more for the bet to be valid,if I put the bet on now do I get envoi Allen’s first run over fences or does he have to run another 3 times to make my bet valid? Obviously shiskin is yet to race this season

The British band of novice hurdlers and chasers have been poor in comparison to their Irish counterparts so far. The British have been very underwhelming. Your Darling, Easy As That, Marown, Sporting John, Emitom to name a few disappointments. I’ve backed all these TWAR and have given up on any of them progressing at the Festival all ready. The Irish are going to clean up again
