Crowdfunder - Fat Jockey Forum upgrade

Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

Or they've started putting them in Easter Eggs and they're on special offer

      • Instead of working, I've just spent an hour reading through the Cheltenham section betfair forum and I'd forgotten just how bad that site is these days. Every thread is derailed by one or two members (morons), no wonder people don't post on there anymore.

Makes me appreciate this site a hell of a lot more

          • What are members thoughts on Notebook. Do you think he ran to his standard in the Arkle and has now reached his ceiling or was he having an off day and did not run to his best? He’s 33/1 for next years Champion Chase. Given the record of losing Fav’s performing well at the following years festival do you think he can be a genuine challenger? HDB has a very good record in the CC mainly because of Sizing Europe’s achievements. Is 33/1 worth a punt??

Didn't run to anywhere near his rating, however two poor shows at the course and his pre racing habits don't make him an attractive proposition to win going forward at Prestbury for many (myself included )

Classic case of the issues in the horses head preventing his physical abilities to be seen at their best.
I watched him head down to the start in his Arkle from a very good position, he was very headstrong and passed the entire field to get to the bottom of the hill, no question his chance was gone long before the tapes went up.
He will need some serious equine psychotherapy to be a champion chase contender...

These are my thoughts also. Couldn't touch him at the moment. FD or PTKO are much better bets at the prices, imo.

Absolutely, FD and PTKO, are more reliable than Notebook at Cheltenham, having run well/won at both the Festival and in non-Festival races.

...Notebook is 40-1 with cash-out (PP). It’s gremlins have been highlighted, but that’s why it’s 40-1.

                          • Regarding asterion forlonge, is he being disregarded a little prematurely? It would depend on whether his jumping can be fixed which im not sure it can. But if it can then a combination of that plus a step up in trip could see him be one of the very best novice chasers next season over 2m4f+ judging by easyworks run in the ballymore, assuming of course that easywork ran his race at leopardstown

It's clear that this year is going to be different to any other. The markets usually settle down but they aren't this year.

Gotta put you off getting involved though?

I know you're hell bent on going the other way

Maybe I'm being too cautious but my gut tells me playing 'earlier than normal' isn't the way to go.

I might even go full on book mode, start laying things now and only backing big prices that I think will shorten.

But im deep into this lovely crate and might feel different tomorrow
