Suppose it’s always hard this far out predicting targets and discipline.

I’d definitely include Epatante and Easysland who’s targets should be pretty certain.

Envoi Allen although not jumping a fence yet, other than his ptp we’ve seen, would have to go in as he is the real deal.

The fourth would be between ABP Shishkin and Monkfish was really impressed with the way he battled back to win the AB and the old cliche does look a proper chaser in the making.

Definitely isn’t easy to narrow down, as your first list shows there’s a good few there we would probably all fancy but as is the case very few will win.

    • I remember the poll we did of the 4 ‘bankers’ from this season and I’m pretty sure Envoi Allen had the fewest votes in terms of who we favoured as the best bankers.

      BDD
      Paisley Park
      Tiger Roll
      Envoi Allen

As it turned out only EA won with the other 3 turned over.

      • How do we see the 3 Brooks horses for cheltenham next season, could be a little complicated for them trying to split up.

Saint Calvados ran a blinder in the Ryanair surely back to have another crack?

Simply The Betts winning the plate which is similar to the Ryanair in distance and then obviously Itchy Feet ran in the intermediate novice chase as well.

Obviously they all have to get there fit and well.

        • ....another that was highly thought of but was an early ‘out of the Festival’ addition was Master Dino. I’m not sure the extent of its injury and wellbeing, but if it’s fit and well it could be a little under the radar.

I think they'd be mad to do anything but try and aim all 3 at the Ryanair.

If they still have all 3 the week before and are feeling wild they could split the pack then.

I've got Itchy Feet down as interesting at 40/1 (not backed) He was fav for the Marsh and it takes a leap to award him that race and then award him the required step up in ability he'd need, but it's one I thought I'll revisit at some stage.

Saint Calvados is one of my favourite horses in training (you weren't on the forum for why by the looks of it) ... but I don't think he'll end up being good enough to win it. He's just like Aso really, solid, but I think there will always be one too good. I think he's still 25/1?

Simply The Betts I think is a handicapper and will be a consistant type in that sphere. I don't really think he'll step up to open Grade 1 company. I wouldn't back him at anything less than 100/1 for the Ryanair. *** Just seen he's 25/1. That is an awful price.

20/1 isn't under the radar enough though

I agree it’s the likeliest race for all 3 to aim at.

Not sure they have had the volume and quality of horse I can remember to worry about splitting them up?

If they are all fit and running well I would find it likely one of them would miss cheltenham for aintree surely? Unless they have some horrific runs prior to spring to work a handicap mark for one of them but that’s not as easy done these days.

None are worthy of a gold cup campaign at the moment that’s for sure if they thought of stepping any up.

                • They have Rouge vif too Craigy , Very respectable 3rd in the Arkle chase.
I think Saint Calvados will go for the Ryanair again.
                  The others , i'm not sure .

....agree there’s no value there, but only really priced up with 365 for the Ryanair. Be interesting what other firms go and it’s price in TWAR market, although the Ryanair seems the logical target.

                    • Master Dino if back fully fit would definitely be one im interested in TWAR.
Had a few pts invested in him last year and would be happy to have another go this year.

Ryanair already looking like it could end up being super competitive.

Right enough BC. Don’t think he would be up to the top 2m prizes but will surely be given his chance before being stepped up in trip.

That could be another at the intermediate. Might be one to keep an eye for the plate given same ownership just won it.

                        • Surely with Master Dino the best thing to do would be wait until he has an entry over here or if the trainer comments on coming over as a road they will go this season?

Price should remain and if he gets an entry pull the trigger.

Considering he got a serious enough injury on his first run on UK soil imo I’d want a run into him over here before going to Cheltenham, same approach as they did when he did get injured at Plumpton.

                          • Is it not two festivals now master Dino has missed tho?

                            • I would be wary of backing Master Dino now without any cash out concession. He was sold to a new owner in November so there is a high probability that he’ll stay in France and compete there once fit.
