What sort of lunatic would take 8/1 now, why would they price it that short. That can't be earning them any money, and they can't be that scared of him?!
Money Money Money to quote Abba, they got caught @20/1 in a rich mans world

How much can they have taken at 20/1 though to mean they refuse to take any more money on him? Which is essentially what they're saying at that price.

I'd leave him 20/1, he ain't winning the Ultima or NH Chase.... get as much in the book as they can

Yeah, but he is 14/1 for the NHC, which is the point that was Good value @ 20/1

          14/1 NRNB though

So it's not if he doesn't run there?

Given Gordon has only once in the last 10 years (easily more) had 2 runners, it's not that great, when Galvin is his first pick.

10/1 nrnb as far as I can see

              14s yesterday NRNB

My point is that 8/1 is too short any race, and they should want to take money on him... so 8/1 is too short.

I don't see why they're so scared of a horse that is either in a handicap (Ultima) with a BIGGER aim in the Irish National, or 2nd string for a trainer in the NH Chase who has only once EVER had 2 runners in the race.

I'm not sure what your point is?

              • .....looking like today’s meeting at Fairyhouse has been abandoned, they are looking to reschedule.

I was thinking of a handicap, but just not heard no mentions or anything.

Quite a few have used the Ultima as a race onto the GN so would be feasible. All about the GN for Mr Hemmings thou usually.

                      • ...apologies if mentioned, Paddy Power have a price boost offer:

Shishkin (Arkle): Honeysuckle (Mares Hurdle): Paisley Park (Stayers) @ 30-1

                        • Did we ever find out if these boosts were NRNB?

Out of curiosity, if Shishkin and PP win and Honeysuckle was a NR, does this result in stake refunded and not paid out as 2 winners and a void bet?

...i imagine in a normal NRNB treble, the stake would go on the double but I’m not sure how that works for an ‘offer’ with no separate odds. A guess, would be stake returned but I’m sure others will know.
