8 to 1, jeeeeeeeez that's a HORROR price for a horse that might run in a handicap which by definition he has less chance in than he had before he ran today and was a zillion times the price.


What sort of lunatic would take 8/1 now, why would they price it that short. That can't be earning them any money, and they can't be that scared of him?!

How much can they have taken at 20/1 though to mean they refuse to take any more money on him? Which is essentially what they're saying at that price.

My point is that 8/1 is too short any race, and they should want to take money on him... so 8/1 is too short.

I don't see why they're so scared of a horse that is either in a handicap (Ultima) with a BIGGER aim in the Irish National, or 2nd string for a trainer in the NH Chase who has only once EVER had 2 runners in the race.

Jonjo not shy of an Ultima horse so if anywhere there would be the guess, often cites better ground needed so NRNB would be advised on such a horse i feel.

Quite a few have used the Ultima as a race onto the GN so would be feasible. All about the GN for Mr Hemmings thou usually.

...i imagine in a normal NRNB treble, the stake would go on the double but I’m not sure how that works for an ‘offer’ with no separate odds. A guess, would be stake returned but I’m sure others will know.
