Anyone know if Irish entries have gone to 4 days now?

Was expecting Fairyhouse entries for Saturday to be up yesterday but have appeared today and no sign of Sunday entries at Navan on hri yet.

There is no meeting at Navan on Sunday.

By and large, there is no fixed 5 day entry system in Ireland. Although 5 is the norm or average the entry system depends on the day of the race eg it's 7 days for Thursday meetings. This is the programme for the next few weeks to demonstrate.

Another shit day at the office for me, I’ll be suing the BHA if I get another betting concussion from banging my head into my hands as hard as I have today. At least a few ideas, debates and ante post selections have been put to bed. Goshen is not good enough for a Churdle, Chantry House is way off the standard expected to win a novice Chase at Festival (I don’t buy the gluey ground bollocks from Henderson) and Chosen Mate has no chance in a Champion Chase.

Two positive thoughts after yesterday’s racing;

1) Brandy Love becomes one of my first intended bets of the 2022 Festival bets

2) Sky Pirate an interesting contender for the Grand Annual? Might get hit with 8lbs or so but even with that he’s proved he’ll relish the track and trip. Having been on him yesterday I don’t need a great deal of convincing to take a little of the boosted 16/1 on offer.

I wanted to come on to slate him as he has been so timid for a long time and as he did it on the bridle(oh the irony) so ran the final circuit vs the Caspian hoping it would be similar despite it being half a mile further etc. 6L clear of Chatham and obvs 20+ of those behind him, it might well just be 2m with a long run in is his bag of of tea after all.

The jockey didn't touch him with the stick which was the key yesterday. If he's going to win the Grand Annual though he'll have to do it on the bridle against the usual selection of well handicapped horses. If he gets into a battle he'll revert to type and dog it. Also I suspect he'll get 10-11 lbs for that yesterday. And yet while I won't back him antepost I still can't help being interested!

Oh yeah that's the thing you'd be 99% certain the yellow bellied Pirate would roll over if he had a few around him and he needed to be asked at all.

As i often have touched on the RP times and TS figures are a bit all over imo, i can only assume they factor weight very heavily in there TS figures as otherwise it doesn't stack as the novice chase was miles behind yet still given a figure higher than what the 2m hcap got given.
