Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

  • Sullivan had 20 or so horses with Willie last season. It would be normal practice to have a summer cull and Willie would present a list of those he felt should be moved on. Bloodstock sales are in a state of flux at the moment so I'm thinking that Sullivan has decided to give a couple another chance. Had there been a big row, Real Steel and others would be elsewhere surely.

    • Exactly my thinking in regards to Real Steel, Stormy Ireland etc Archie.

I regret using a free bet yesterday at 33/1 for the mares chase on Laurina now though if Willie decided she was to be chopped lol.

      • Do we know for sure that real steel is still with Mullins? Or are we just presuming that because they haven’t appeared in Nicholls’ stable?

        • We know nothing. Do you?

          • No I’ve got no line into the Mullins stable unfortunately

Couldn't have PFN winning the Mares Hurdle but he is a master with horses over fences (in my eyes anyway). Be interesting to see what route they go down.
I have a hunch she'll end up on the Coral Cup.

              • Surely with Next Destination and Laurina it’s just a case of the owners throwing the dice and hoping with a new stable / new routine and different training approaches it might get their spark back and turn the horses around. Both good horses on their day, so hope it works, would love to see Laurina back to her best racing over here.

                • Looking at Laurinas last race she was a close up 3rd to Elfile who finished 3rd in the Mares Hurdle to Honey/Benie and Black Tears who finished 2nd in the Coral Cup. In her first run last season she beat Minella Indo over fences who finished 2nd behind Champ in the RSA. Maybe her form wasn't all that bad !!

If memory serves me, HDB came out and said and think many of us on here knew it was just a run out for MI that day. I wouldnt read too much into that form

                    • And the Laurina/Minello Indo race was over 2m4f which is obviously totally out of Minella Indo's comfort zone.

Also surprising that they let you boost these as you can’t usually boost horse racing multis with Hills.

374/1 for the same horses with their likely targets at this stage.
I'd have to have a tiny little saver on that as well just in case

                            • Yes of course likely target do look very likely! But to be sure this is a nice little bet, ive been pumping the envoi shishkin double since march with those [likely targets] so this makes sense for me to run alongside

...thanks Ray, I never knew Hills had such a market.

One that immediately stood out for me is Monkfish/Shishkin/Ferny to win a/r 180-1 (with boost). They are 11/2, 3-1 and 7-1 in their a/r list.
