On the day e/w play: SUPREME NOVICE- WillHill 7 places
ALLART 20/1
Has had a much more low key build up to a big test like this than his more fancied stablemates and other opposition. I really like Chantry House as a solid chance in this and he is the key piece of form that makes Allart look like a play. Chantry House overcame some greenness when winning what turned out to be a very decent novice hurdle against the now 145 rated Stolen Silver. He has since won at Newbury where our form lines overlap with Allart. Both horses have beaten a horse called JAVA POINT by about 9 lengths and both were very comfortable winners with more to come on each occasion.
Both are relatively inexperienced in terms of a big field and this level of competition but when Chantry House is lining up at 11/2, the close form ties and unexposed nature of each makes ALLART a great option for each way backers in the opener.
Nicky Henderson thinks he “is quite good” and was keen to run him this week, and prior to his season opener (at which he fell in the first) he said he’s “got loads of speed and is a proper 2 miler”.
I just think there’s enough of a case and an opportunity with the enhanced places to make a solid start. Just hope he jumps well in the big field and can get settled.
