...I like Rob Wright from the Times, he often goes for ones from left field but he’s had a poor National Hunt season.

I tend to try (and often fail) to treat opinions/views on merit, rather than who has said them. For example, I find David Jennings very amusing but don't regard him as a decent tipster, which means he can sometimes make a great point that I will instantly disregard because of how I view him.
It would be interesting to go back over a number of recent years and pull together the selections of these tipsters vs their actual results.Comment

Apart from Kealey I guess I wouldn't see any of those guys as tipsters, but people whose opinion I enjoy listening to. I wouldn't follow them, and I doubt they're telling us everything in public either.
