Was one of the ones backing Ida at 33s for this weekend, race cuts up and boom Gordie rules her out…surprised by that, maybe they have a plan for her off a similar mark in a National after the MC.
They need to run her in the punchestown 3m G1 please god!

I think i'd back her in a GN. Just surprised given how this has cut up they haven't given it a go to find out.
Maybe Punchestown but that'll be only like 2-3 weeks gap so maybe not.

Took a swing on Silver Forever in this. Whilst I do think the Irish mares could be better, she’s done a couple of things I like in context of this race. Jumped well on both starts & showed good staying ability beyond the trip. Last years race looked more of a staying test & the winner obviously went on to win a G1 over 3m. This mare should also dodge any penalties (not that I worry about them to much in this race)
Glancing Queen half caught my eye at the prices but feel they’ll run off that mark in the plate.
PTKO would carry this lot if back to her best but always feel it’s harder to get a mare back than a gelding. She’ll also have the 5lb extra G1 penalty.
Concertista jumping a worry for me & didn’t like the way she was done on the run in last yr in the hurdle. Same applies to Elimay
Had 5pts ew 8/1 NRNB

Gordon does target this race though which he could take in before going to Aintree.

Elimay with a very winnable Opera Hat on Saturday - https://www.racingpost.com/racecards...-02-12/804760/
Court Maid the only one who should be able to mount a challenge and even she surely will need much further than this test? If Elimay doesn't win this with a fair bit to spare, I think we can all but kiss goodbye any dockets for March.
