  • Does anyone know anything on Gin On Lime's wellbeing following the Cheltenham mishap?

Bar Mount Ida, Elimay & Concertista surely if she's fit and well then she'll run her race and be involved? She's very experience compared to the likes of Concertista.

They said they were resting her and bringing her back fresh for Cheltenham/Spring or something like that.

They said she was ok after her fall, but they also said Balko had a stone bruise !
That turned out not to be totally correct.

This angle was something I mentioned in my group chat, I'm seriously tempted to have a go with NRNB.

Id be a little interested if both races were right handed but she's not for me left handed despite winning the kim muir

Winning a handicap with 10lb+ in hand going the wrong way round is one thing, winning a proper graded race is another

              • He has entered all his Gold cup entrants though, like RWF, conflated, Delta, Galvin, etc etc.

To my untrained eye it looks like Gordon's simply used the Big Potato with a picture of a Gold Cup painted on the back, when completing the entries for the Irish Gold Cup.

Yep, hence the NRNB making it the only reason I'd go in. I don't think she'd be good enough for either the Irish or UK Gold Cup, without getting tied to the win today + GC angle I think its worth doing with 365 with the cash out and NRNB angle.

                  • Watching back ITVs Opening Show this morning, Daryl Jacob certainly didn't sound optimistic on being back on time for Cheltenham. Sounds like he had a very tough hip injury.

With that in mind, IMO it just points more and more to Concertista being aimed here if the ride is going spare and Paul Townend can get himself onboard

Paul probably would have gotten the ride on her anyway, he got the ride on her in the mares hurdle last year over Daryl

                      • I see Minella Meolody has an entry in the Mare's Chase at Thurles on Sunday. A decent enough renewal too. Jeremy's flame is a good yard stick. I liked her runs behind Concertista last year and think she'll improve for a fence. Interested to see how she gets on.

                        • Minella Melody’s course form is the only thing putting me off having a swing at her, will fences make a big difference, possibly!

Do Skybet suspend Cheltenham markets while races are in play? Wouldn’t mind seeing how she’s taking to fences before taking a punt.

                          • I think Robinnia has more scope to improve and be competitive in this. An early fall last time out didn't help but personally worth considering a small play before she runs tomorrow.

A lot to like about that today from Minella Melody, she jumped impeccably for the most part & travelled sweetly, can excuse her running out of steam in the last few furlongs as she was running against race fit mares having been off the racetrack for the guts of 9 months.

She was well supported before the off too having drifted out to 5/1 overnight/morning, happy to take a chance at 33/1 as there’s surely a another race they can squeeze in over the next month or so. Her scope over fences today was a eye catching, but she’s by Flemensfirth so that was always a good possibility.

Her course form is still the worry but at 33/1 now she’s worth chancing in an open market.
