Especially when they are 2nd and 3rd favs... you probably hate Concertista?

          I might back Mount Ida - 7/1 isn't bad.
She’s a very bad favourite IMO

          • I think you can mark Mount Ida up a bit given the Scarlet and Dobe buffetted her at the last. I’ve had a bit at 7/1 which I think is fair.

Interesting that Mount Ida and Scarlett and Dove have met and finished 3 chases together in the last 13 months and the gap between the two has been between 4 and 6 lengths - pretty consistent. S&D also fell once in that time. Rather suggests their ability is either plateud or is tracking each other’s.

Really hoping Elimay is on an upward trajectory. Certainly improved today but didn’t travel well. And beat Mount Ida by 2 1/2 lengths giving her 6lbs over the same course and distance in April.

All in all, I’d have Mount Ida and Scarlet running to form and Elimay running 8-10lbs below last years form.

Elimay is a little inconsistant to rely on though too (going back to your placing point).

The Champion Chaser is 16/1 for it now.... this market is tough, tough, tough

I think so too, and i liked her jumping.
I also liked the jumping of Glancing Queen today.
They are the ones I’m looking at at this stage.

                • Do we think PTKO comes here now, and would anyone make allowances for the ground, trainer form. Or die we think she’s basically is just a little gone at the game?

2M4F certainly not her game anyway based on todays showing. Maybe back to the 2M G1 at DRF to see if it’s worth going to Cheltenham at all this year.

                    • I don't really fancy any of them at the top. All have underwhelmed.
Sticking with Gin On Lime. Can see several in with a shout at the top of the hill

Elimay has ran badly over fences once
                          with a decent excuse

champion chaser will now go to the champion chase and get we’ll beaten

                              • What does everyone think of Jeremys Flame (second to Concertista by half a length last time out) who is quoted at 10/1, and Roseys Hollow, who is 40/1 with 365, ahead of their run tomorrow at Naas? The betting suggests there isn’t that much between them - 5/4 and 7/4 respectively, though JF seems to have the better form.

I’ve been a bit underwhelmed by the front of the market so far and looking for alternatives…
