I'd expect Riviere D'etel to go to the Arkle. She'll be a five year old novice that doesn't look like she needs a step up in trip.
Magic Daze will be the Arkle or nowhere. She's an out and out two miler. If they can get her to settle she'll come though.
Concertista could go to either, but given Willie has Appreciate It and Ferny Hollow, I can't imagine she'll go anywhere but the Mares Chase.Luck is a dividend of sweat. The more I sweat, the luckier I get.

I also agree re RD. I think she is tailor made for the Arkle and I have her as the most impressive of all the 2m novices so far. I know she will lose the allowance but she is improving so quickly that I’m not too bothered by that.

Pretty much agree with the posts above.
I'm not giving up on MD yet as I think there is a better horse there than we saw yesterday. To a degree she needs things to fall her way, no need to go any further than 2 miles if possible, which of course is the Arkle trip (although not convinced she wants to see a hill at the end of the 2 miles).
Imo better ground would help and yesterday some of her jumps were really good but there were also a couple of odd jinks to the right down the back straight, some room for improvement there.
The ride she got was also odd, after the first few fences we commented that we had hardly ever seen a 2 mile chase so strung out - so did she leave the race behind by going off like a bat out of hell before steadying?
One other thing I've noticed is that in all 3 of MD's races this year she has been heavily backed pre race, yesterday from around 5/2 the evening before down to an SP of 10/11. That tells me that the stable are confident they have a really good horse at home. Hopefully that can be translated back to the track like it was when she won her beginners chase by 25 lengths, there are enough areas of scope for improvement for me to keep the faith and see where she turns up next.

Was really impressed with Annie MC's comeback race after injury and being off since February. Travelled and jumped brilliantly and JJ junior looking through his legs at Elimay behind shows that he thought he had the winner covered before she got tired . Bookies actually pushed her out which was a surprise to me. I do like her place chances and she's certainly good enough to give any mare in the race something to think about.
