We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.
I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

We'll see how it all unfolds but it's not certain [that she'll try to defend her Champion Chase crown]. She'll probably have a few entries. Obviously there's the Mares' Chase and the Ryanair Chase.
I dont think that is a huge surprise given who is in the qmcc this year and how imo she was outpaced in schloer. it would be an unwanted fly in the ointment if she went mares chase for me.
Far from ideal news, but I'm not too worried. Were PTKO 9 rising 10 then yeh, maybe this makes sense, but at 8yo next year she can defend her QMCC crown and then have 1 or even 2 cracks at this if it doesn't work out at 2m. I'm fairly sure they'll reach that conclusion.

I agree. They were debating between the QMCC and Mares Chase last season and decided to give her the chance, her loss in the Schloer wasn't great but I think they will give her the chance again.

Not great news for backers that's for sure.
But the xmas race makes some sense as it's a more winnable race. From a confidence perspective (for connections mainly)
I think it's a grade 3 and Willie don't usually send his best mares either.
Vroum Vroum won it yonks ago.
I'd still say the Queen mother will tempt them more, but he's opened a door that wasn't really open, so for what reason ??
If the 2 mile division stays hot I think it's a no brainer, but if it thins out a touch then that's a no brainer too.
I reckon it very much depends on the new guns (Shishkin & Energumene), as if they dominate the horses she beat last year, then she ain't going to run in the Champion Chase.
Henry's comments and change of tack from pre season stable tours, also suggests that they thought they had her bang on for the Schloer.

If she does switch would they not be more likely to go for the Ryanair than this race? You'd think they'd prefer going for a grade 1, surely? I suppose the MC could look a bit easier, but outside of Allaho the Ryanair could be fairly weak too.

Just posted similar in the Ryanair thread; the owners would surely want to aim high regardless of the trip. Even with Allaho - it's not guaranteed he runs the same race again this year and The Ryanair is never really the strongest race for a Grade One
