Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

Didn’t JF beat exactly the same horse as she did before.? JF just reenforced her superiority to Dolcita surely? Unless you are referring to Roseys Hollow who jumped poorly and never looked to be travelling

It was tongue in cheek, hence the emoji

I think most people's issue with the fav is her price, which is completely fair enough. I'd like to see her given an opportunity to show what she's made of in proper decent company.

Apologies I should have phoned a friend first to get the emoji definition.

They're form ties in closely, she's just beaten her despite getting a big bump and has a festival winning piece of form over further.

I can't rule her out at all, I don't really expect to get through tonight without backing her - as any race pre Kim Muir have to be taken with a lil pinch of salt. The loss to Elimay at Punchestown got reveresed today....

If you like one, you can't really rule out t'other?

              Hopefully Quevega is right!
Apologies for going back more than a week after the original post, but isn’t the main issue with Mount Ida the fact that the only time she’s ran in a chase left handed she jumped violently right throughout. Generally when she was in and amongst the pack in the Kim muir she was okay, but any time she had space around her she really struggled. There will be far fewer runners here and I can’t see the jocks allowing her a run around on the inside mid div throughout giving her a chance to jump straight.

              • It does sound like the owners are set on a GC tilt with Mount Ida though from the tweet that was posted the other day.

which tweet’s that lobos? Don’t think I’ve seen that

edit: have seen it now. Surely thats just them showing a bit of excitement at having a gold cup entry. I wouldn’t say that means “the owners are set on a GC tilt” by any stretch.

Why wouldn't they though ?? Every owners dream surely. Decent GC prep as well.

They may well do, but she clearly has a far stronger chance in the mares chase than the gold cup and I’d assume the entry is there in case the gold cup cuts up badly.

We can’t be as strong as to say that “the owners are set on a gold cup tilt” based on that tweet alone, as we simply don’t know that for sure.

                      • Having already won a lesser race at the festival, I can see why they might go for the Gold Cup over the obviously more winnable race. May never get another opportunity.

Yeah, absolutely this. Only one GC. She and the owners may only ever get one shot at it . You simply have to take that chance. She's improving, already rated 152 so with her Mares allowance that puts her on 159 which ain't a million miles away. Others have placed with lower ratings than that. If I owned her she'd only be going one way. Good on them I say.

Added to the discussion about not necessarily having to be classy to win the GC - Mount Ida is one of the first horses I think of when I hear "boat" being used. It's a very open looking race this time around and I think she'll go under the radar if she goes for this.

                            • As this is a new race, does anyone else struggle to keep it on their agenda? Keep forgetting I have to specifically care about Mares over fences
