Why is it?, That come 15 minutes past 3 on Friday the 18th March, i can only see Galvin in the winners inclosure and Davy being interviewed.. Help!!
The more and more I think about it, the more it just seems likely!
I think at 3.15pm Galvin will be parading and if Davy is celebrating then he’s just had the Potato race winner.
Seriously, I don’t have a bean on Galvin and he looks a genuine runner, improvement shown has been incredible.
1.01 I end up fighting my through the crowds for a very late cover…

Think there's any positives to be taken about Chantry House with the decision for Champ to go Stayers?
His price will probably hold until the Cotswold to be fair.
Its a positive of sorts but it was expected.
If he puts in a good performance his price should change, but I don’t really see it changing much if at all before the race.

Was thinking of adding him until his desperate effort in the King George when a heavily backed favourite. He'll need to put that effort well behind him on his next run but I have my doubts that'll happen.
Yea, you've got to completely put a line through that KG run and the course is their only excuse. So it's not that easy to take imo.
He's got some of the more 'interesting' form in the race imo. In that he's got some good pieces over shorter trips (including hurdles runs) and he's unexposed as a stayer. None of it really shouts what I'd usually look for in a GC winner, I just find him a potentially intriguing contender.
Any ideas what the opposition is going to be like in the Cotswold? I'm guessing pretty poor

8 wins from 11 runs under rules and improved for step up in distance. That’s good enough for me to draw a line through Kempton. He’s performed well at Cheltenham.
Agree he’s an intriguing contender and I expect him to back to his consistent self in the Cotswold.
I imagine like you it will not be a strong field in the Cotswold.
Ive taken nrnb prices since Kempton and may add to that if a Cotswold/ GC double appears.
Peter marsh chase result can be considered a boost for APT? He was a long way in front of the rest in the Betfair chase
Royal Pagaille was struck into in that race, and didn’t run up to scratch because of it.
He missed a run in the King George five weeks later, as he was still recovering from that injury.
His win marks up the form of APT, but it wouldn’t have been a 22L gap between them, but for Royal Pag’s injury.
Given that Royal Pagaille has an official rating of 163 (before today), and A Plus Tard is 173, maybe a 10L difference still holds though.
Ahoy Senor 70/1 boosted with cash out is an absolute bet before Saturday.
What price would he be if he wins beating Chantry House? And if the yard are ever going to run a novice in a gold cup, it’ll be when it’s a weak gold cup for depth (as this is) and a vintage RSA (as this is).
At 70/1 and the luxury of cash out, I think you just have to back him on my view and then you can reassess Thursday if he’s declared and again Saturday evening after the race.
