After APT the market is actually great value if you had a view on a horse.

Mine would be that I completely fell out of love with Minella Indo last season and will be wary of making the same mistake again. Completely wrote off him winning today but obviously it was still disappointing how early he pulled up. He's obviously a spring/Cheltenham horse. I backed Chantry House with my free bet which was much more disappointing and i've now zero interest in him for this.

What's the story with The Big Getaway? I backed him at the start of the season in a more of a hit and hope but going thru the list I'd give him a better chance than most and at 66/1 I definitely would. But there's been no sight nor trace of him other than a short mention in Willie's stable tour which told us nothing new.

You'd have to imagine he must have had a setback of some sort as he hasn't even had so much as an entry or anything as of yet.

As a huge fan of Minella Indo, I found that run concerning. Lots of excuses, and whilst they did go too fast, I dont think Rachel was squeezing just for the craic, I think she expected to be more there, and he went out like a light - last season he fell or plugged on when he disappointed.

Agreed, it's not like he has just been beaten a well held 3rd or so, he was beaten going out on the final circuit so I couldn't touch him at 10s until there was some sort of positive update for him.

I wouldn't worry and have backed him off the back of that because I'm confident the early speed is exactly what he wouldn't have wanted. Expending lots of energy to keep up with that pace made going out like a light highly probable, which is exactly what happened.
