Funnily enough having just been talking about Allaho, this race would suit him being tested again at 3m perfectly.
It's a rhythm track, and you can bowl along if you want.
If he were to win then a crack at the King George would fit in nicely also.
However, Willie clearly does not like sending them to this race for whatever reasons. So won't happen.

Was reading the RP analysis of Ontheropes' win at Limerick earlier today and it mentioned emulating Total Recall by going on to the Hennessy/Ladbroke.
It also stated Ontheropes was starting off from a higher base. Having read through Total Recall's race history, it got me thinking, are we looking at Willie's gold cup horse in Ontheropes?
Yes, it'd mean Cheveley would be overloading the GC potentially but they're about winning the big ones before bowing out in the next few years if they are winding down their involvement in NH racing.
I re-read the entry in Jumpers to follow, doesn't say much; 2nd season novice, good second behind Monkfish.
Obviously needs to take more steps forward but thought I would think it out loud on this thread and see what others thought.
Not backed him for anything yet, the Willie Mullins trends are steering me away from the NH chase and he's not priced up yet for the GC.

Horses that win or place in that are usually Ultima and Grand National horses, these days."Journeys to Glory, breathing in his head".

NH chase or Gold Cup. If he takes in Cheltenham.
And most likely NH chase cos he's a novice, and Willie would likely go this way.

OTR should take the NHC route, it’s not often that novices run in the Ladbroke/Hennessy so normal rules of Grand National types, may not apply.
However it’s his third season chasing, so it’s not impossible that he gets an Aintree entry (the weights come out before Cheltenham so any run at the Fez wouldn’t affect a National bid if they wanted to have one) - Similar to second season Novice - Run Wild Fred, and would now be similarly weighted, in Ireland at least, around 146.
