What price would he be if he wins beating Chantry House? And if the yard are ever going to run a novice in a gold cup, it’ll be when it’s a weak gold cup for depth (as this is) and a vintage RSA (as this is).
At 70/1 and the luxury of cash out, I think you just have to back him on my view and then you can reassess Thursday if he’s declared and again Saturday evening after the race.

He's 4/1 for the weekend, so is he going to be shorter than 12/1 if he did win? (that works out 64/1 as a double)
Absolutely no chance he goes that short....... so you'd be better off doing it manually too, as relying on the cashout is a bit risky?

Not unfeasible I suppose. I'd probably rather take the 8/1 winnings tomorrow though - if I fancied him.
Still had my bet calculator up

Was a reason ever given for his run in the Ladbrokes?

And if he wasn’t declared, you can cash for your money back if you were inclined. Obviously if he ran and got beat, then cash out would drop/be removed but at this stage, I’d say it’s a very fair bet.

I wouldn't be able to get past the 30L defeat over 3m at Christmas...
Just out classed at that level IMO.

It was encouraging that run before ridden quietly plus I like the Thyestes as a race for possible outsiders for this, you look at Djakadam and Onhisown who both won this off lower marks and ran well in the Gold Cup.

I don't see that profile from Franco De Port myself, but not knocking anyone looking for angles -
