I know circumstances change but that’s piss poor from Elliott to say what he did 2 days ago then switch him
Agreed, there is absolutely no need to be so definitive with your statements, like he often is.
And if I owned ginto I'd be saying why are we moving now your other horse is out ?
If he was in the ballymore cos it's his best chance why is the bartlett now his best chance just cos minella crooner is out ?
Whilst I agree, the word definitely to me means that it’s happening. It’s his choice of words that’s annoying just say he most likely goes or something along those lines.
A perfect example of how a racing presenter should be developing relationships and trust with trainers in order to foster real transparency, collaboration and partnership. NL is the very best at this imo. He is a diplomat and a collaborator in the most positive sense and we are very lucky (excuse the pun) to have him imo.
Happy taking on Hillcrest. Not just because his jumping LTO was poor, but he was making mistakes when not really under much pressure and this test will be a world away from that on much better ground - he's just too short in an open race.

Completely agree with this - a consummate professional and hard worker (although it sounds like his family are questioning the relentless Podcast requirements). He is a big part of the US networks Breeders Cup coverage as well - very highly respected.

Yes a workaholic...I think they are worried for his health and understandably so ...hopefully he’s still off the ciggies.
Is this the sole reason for the price collapse? Obviously didn't see the bit before this, but all he's talking about in this clip is if the horse will stay 3m? He's said last week 'definitely goes ballymore'. Id take the latter over this chat?
I tend to avoid horses that run close to the Festival on very soft and heavy ground and look like they’ve had a hard race, so close to next week. So Hillcrest wouldn’t be for me.
ITV will be all over Hillcrest as the great UK hope in the AB, I can envisage Alice Plunkett eulogising now.
I’m sure though there will be many who fancy their chances here. Hope we get a good sized field. I think we will.

This quote also:
✅️ Gordon Elliott bullish on Ginto.
"I think he's a good horse. Good horses normally win over any trip.
"Every race he runs through the line strong so I can't see why he won't stay.
"If we think he can win a Ballymore, he should win an Albert Bartlett."

Yeah wouldn’t chance any horse that ran on that Ascot/Haydock weekend, been shown to be a real sapper in recent years.
