  • By jove this race looks weak.

Crooner, Cocooner, Hollow Games, Shantreusse etc - all decent horses but not ones I can personally get excited about.

Surely the connections of the likes of Ginto and JWM must be tempted when it comes to declarations.

    • Ramillies could be the value at 33/1 4 places nrnb with Betfred, wasn’t visible on oddschecker so I checked the site.

Hopefully wins his maiden next week.

I love him for this and have done since last March. Everything about him screams send me up in trip. He would have won last day not for the mistake IMO. I hope they go over 2m7f with next week and then only this. Willie thinks the world of him

He ran well last time before the mistake at the last, Willie said he has loads to work on so should come on loads

            • Hope they’ve welded that huge hole he had in him last season!

              • I think it's asking a lot of Hillcrest to run for the first time over 3 miles on this ground at Haydock. I doubt they will want to leave his season behind in this race so either he wins easily or they look after him - doubt he will win or get beat by a short distance after a battle.

                • Very impressed by Hillcrest at Haydock there!

                  • Wow that yoke is absolutely enormous. That was a seriously pleasing watch and if it’s not taken a lot out of him he will be a player here for me

                    • Hillcrest looks very good but I won't be back any horse that has run today at Haydock or Ascot for the festival.

                      • He's clearly a very strong stayer but that must have been some effort. Him and Green Book took each other on miles out, and he broke him to be fair. Be a big ask to go again in few weeks.

                        • Definitely an interesting one for next season over fences. Jockey made him win the hard way and Green Book has been walloped after being up with the pace he has set.

If he goes the AB, he should be able to sit behind the leaders and get a lead into the race. I don't think he will win but good experiences for him for 2023.

                          • Hillcrest will not be winning at Cheltenham, slogged it out well enough in a weak race but I'd be surprised if he places here

Game of opinions - that’s the fun

i disagree…..think he may have just posted best RPR for race

Gallops and Gallops ….and slog up hill on new course could be perfect for him
