2022 Albert Bartlett Novices Hurdle

So are we all agreed that if Hollow Games wins at the DRF then He'll come here and Ginto will go Ballymore? Or do we see them both going to the Albert? Or do we see one of them missing Cheltenham altogether? Can't get my head around those two.

I’d see that being the case for them. If Hollow Games wins or goes close at DRF then he’s booked his place in the Albert Bartlett.

And as the Morans want to split their horses up that leaves the Ballymore for Ginto. I think Ginto would have more chance in the AB than the Ballymore, but of the two he’s the only one with a realistic chance of winning the Ballymore.

I think we just have to wait for the immediate post race and that honesty we can more and more confidently expect from Gordon.

I'm with you on that. Even if HG books his AB place then I think Ginto should still join him as he'd have a better chance of winning the longer race on what I've seen. I think he'd find 1 or 2 too quick in the Ballymore. Why detriment Ginto and the owners chances of a Festival win by sending him to the 'wrong' race. If both horses are Albert horses......so be it. Improves their chances of a festival winner by doubling them up.

Supreme - Three Stripe Life (mentioned Supreme the other day) & Mighty Potter (said he would most likely stay at 2 miles yesterday)

Albert Bartlett - Minella Crooner, Hollow Games & Gerri Colombe

He sees Ginto as his best novice hurdler so I see him being his main dart at the Ballymore with multiple strong darts in the other 2 races. He is bound to have other horses that aren't of the quality above in these races as well

its not mine haha! Gordon does look very heavy handed in the bartlett though with Gerri, Ginto, HG and Minella but at the same time they do all look like bartlett horses imo.

"Grand Jury is in good form. He had a great run behind Ginto at Naas and the way he travelled into the straight, I thought he was nearly going to win, and then Ginto pulled away from him, but I liked the way he stuck at it and he’s a lovely horse. He’s stepped forward a good bit from his first run for a step up in trip, so we think a bit more of a step up again might suit him. We always had a good opinion of him. He’d been doing some lovely bits of work at home and he was a very impressive point-to-point winner.
"I was more surprised/ disappointed with him at Punchestown (in November) but I thought we saw more of the real Grand Jury at Naas, than at Punchestown.

"I hope so (that two extra furlongs will siut him). The way he stayed at it up the straight, I thought he gave every chance to let Hollow Games go by him, and I thought he stayed at it well. He's watched a different race to me. Or maybe I need to watch it again. Definitely didn't look like a step up in trip was the way forward. And I'd that's that they took from it I can't see him ever coming back in trip!

Agree. I'm certain 1 or 2 of his will go handicaps. Which horses or which races we'll have to wait and see. Whatever he sends down the handicap route I'll be all over them like a rash.
I'll definitely be waiting until the week itself though as the bookies will once again be offering 6-8 places. He'll throw multiple horses in each handicap and so the extra places mean you could possibly get a return on every one of his horses.

I think he has plenty of others beyond the ones mentioned above to have at least 5 in the MP, County and Coral. Hes got an abundance of them this year with:

Saint Felicien
Au Fleron
Chemical Energy
Top Bandit
Mars Harper
Indigo Breeze
Ash Tree Meadow
Gringo D'aubrelle

Just to name a few.

The others mentioned above will surely go to the graded races as their handicap marks will be way to high as Gordon has not been campaigning them in a way like these mentioned which will give them good marks

And to put it into the mix, some of Gordon's will most likely miss Cheltenham to aim for more lucrative Fairyhouse pots over Easter. At least we have NRNB as a benefit now.
