        • Gavin Lynch is taking the obvious view now, no doubt swayed by that entry. Expect a surge by his followers. I am hoping though that it is still the Ballymore. Where there's life, there's hope.

Was actually looking for some info on him last night, he was the first horse I backed for this race. Found this from a couple of weeks ago:

Bardenstown Lad could return to action at Musselburgh next month after being given a break by trainer John McConnell following his victory at Cheltenham in October.

The County Meath handler is eyeing the Scottish Stayers’ Novices’ Hurdle at the Edinburgh venue on February 5 for his promising seven-year-old.

Bardenstown Lad took his tally to three wins from four starts over the smaller obstacles – and four in six under Rules – when making his stamina tell over three miles at Prestbury Park.

“He had a little break after Cheltenham,” said McConnell.

“He’s back in training now and there’s a good chance he might come over for the Cheltenham Trials weekend.

“I think there’s a stayers’ novice hurdle for him.”

Might be worth giving yourself some cover at least pre-race......as this could well be a plan and he could easily be fav with strong performance Sunday

Loads options of things could help.....cashout, maybe win/Chelt on Eggs feed......double with JWM if the move that to Bally, etc

Really like horse and one i want to be onside with wherever he goes

Wouldn’t trust the cash out, as soon as Bet365 hear a mention of a race target, they suspend cash out, but still you can back the horse for the race they have suspended… want their cake and eat it…. rant over… soz.

Looking forward to when you make another appearance on the pod and you can actually put up another horse other than Ginto

I suspect he'll be learning all about the secret recipe from Colonel Sanders next week Jono

                          • Anyone actually like Geri Colombe for this? I know he had few fans on here for Ballymore (including me) but this definitely more likely now. He's 1/2 tomorrow for a 2m 7f novice hurdle. Assuming he wins that the AB will be his likely destination, which he's already best priced 12/1 for. Wins easy tomorrow (as looks very possible) and he'll probably be challenging the top of the market.

He's not got a profile I really like for this though. Would be quite inexperienced still. But maybe I'm looking for the wrong things?

….Sky offer 16-1 to win tomorrow & AB.

Yep. Cashout suspended on Gerri for the Bally already. I was planning on making a decision on it tonight but taken out of my hands unfortunately. The swines.

Note to self: make these cashout calls two days out from the relevant race
