Doesn't bode well for JFM but I do think this is another unique season in that trainers generally decided the ground wasn't right so many horses seasons started a couple of months later than intended...
This was my first thought. Just wasn't sure how much flat runs actually counted in this trend.

Aye, can see a few of the number of runs, first / last run date etc. stats be broken this season for that reason. Probably one to be slightly wary of.

Could end up with a big experience advantage over all the rest mind

    • With DD looking very likely to go Supreme now, the Ballymore looks even more inviting and certainly less deeper a race without him. Can't work that race out at all

Soz, wrong thread. Had a late one in London after the Fulham game and back on it now waiting for West Ham V Leeds in the Greenwood sports bar. Great place.

      • Anyone looked at minella crooner for this before his run today around 25s. Thought his run splitting two of the forums talking horses last time was promising if not a little flattering with the big two potentially cutting each other’s throats?

          I backed it yesterday.
          Hopefully wins easy enough today.

Was really impressed with how he stayed on last time out, clearly looked like he needs further so should come on for the extra half a mile, taken the 33s with Betfair today for a point n half. Should win today and then will be half the price and a decent outsider to have in the book.

He has to win well today or else there will be a few questions about Journey With Me. The Leopardstown race was run in a very slow overall time (finishing sectionals ok but not spectacular) and Amirite did nothing to boost the form on Saturday. That being said, three miles should suit and, if he jumps better, he should win well today.

Looks quite solid form now, based on eye van, who looked to run to a similar level to last time.

                  • Thought he jumped well enough then and put the correct horse to bed with relative ease. He won’t be the classiest horse in the race come March I wouldn’t have thought but with 5 runs behind him in a race which often pays to have experience I think he’s certainly in with a chance

Minella Crooner (14/1) is now a shorter price than Eric Bloodaxe (16/1 still) who beat him 10.5L

Incredibly loosely, as I haven't watched MC today yet, and not watched EB race back..... but on a line through Eye Van, Eric Bloodaxe is still fairly priced.

I think he's a proper horse, watch his last day, coming round the home turn they was tightly bunched up front, Eric bloodaxe goes for the inside and wins by 7 lengths, in proper heavy ground, which wouldn't be ideal now either.

                        • Entries for the 2m 7f novice at Thurles are out tomorrow. Likely to get a few potential AB horses entered - will be interesting to see.

Yeah - Eric is a good price still,
He's won a very good trial obviously.
I think it's the Ginto & Journey with me related form that's keeping him that way, & Blazing Khal.
Depends where they all end up.
But Khal, Minella & Eric look certs to run in the race.
I'd imagine the other 2 might as well to be fair.
I have them all covered plus Hollow Games.

except for Blazing Khal, who i expect will drift if they all come here. As they are much more fashionable and people will value the Irish form more.
if Khal runs in Dublin then I shall do the special with him.

                              That's my plan anyhow.
All the UK trained are not in my thoughts at the moment. Stag Horn was ok, but it looked like a bunch of handicappers to me.

Cash out still available on 365, so I wouldn’t start to worry yet!
