Anybody looking to cover blazing khal for this might have a good opportunity tomorrow.

Gelino bello running in the lanzarote has been priced up around the 7/1 mark. If he were to win tomorrow then blazing khal would probably go very short for this, so the double would look a good play.

Yeah, his price is far too short for what he's beaten and his jumping needs improvement so not one i would back for the festival.

I haven't backed him. Might have taken to him slightly more if he wasn't trained by a crook!

Agree. He was the ultimate snooker table last time. He'll not get away with that in March.

I backed him... Probably means he's an even worse fav

Happy at 16s but I wouldn't be touching him at his current price. Makes sense why he's favourite (target doubts with Ginto and JWM, HG was beaten) but as soon as NRNB hits I expect him to be third favourite at best. Fully expect him to be a bigger price on the day.

Doesn't matter though because Journey With Me bolts up

I've got good returns on Hollow Games and Journey With Me, and I just got a new set of darts that will ideal to just lob at the Racing Post on the day

I backed him after his win the first day in Cheltenham. Not to aftertime or anything. Given the trainer I’d imagine he’d be a much more popular bet over here than in the uk.

Not going to insult anybody by telling them 5/1 for the Bartlett in January is a good bet but he’s the right fav atm for me. Trainer will have him bang on for the day, and the Bartlett seems to be the only novice hurdle where prior course form counts for anything if you believe the stats.


Maybe I’m just getting too sentimental and drawing comparisons that aren’t really there with weapons amnesty. But I would absolutely love it if he could reach that level after his career was cut short

Feel this is a bit harsh. Think people are getting carried away because he made 1 bad mistake last run, and trying to convince themselves he’s a bad jumper when he’s really not because the price is gone. Yes I’d imagine the likes of journey with me/ginto etc will take over favouritism once they commit to the race and you may get a slightly bigger price on blazing khal on the day. However I don’t think u can rule him out at all, has plenty of racing experience and will have more Cheltenham experience than probably every horse in the field. He’s a great engine and absolutely relished the trip, 1 crack with the whip after jumping the last and he took off up the hill. Got to give him a chance imo

The blazing khal can’t jump angle is nearly as bad as the Bob can’t jump one. If he can improve again by the magnitude he did between his 2 runs in Cheltenham he will put in a perfect round. He made 1 jumping error the last day.
