  • All the talk about JWM going to the Ballymore isn’t great for me as I’d always committed to this race! Just have to hope the next one is a step up in trip as HDB did with Minella Indo in 2019. He started over 20f in December then stepped up and onto win the 2019 AB, so fingers crossed! Only difference being MI finished 3rd and appeared to need the step up whereas JWM has smashed his 20f race!!

Definitely too soon to be tearing up any slips that’s for sure!

Is it possible that Kilcruit lost a shoe and was unbalanced and had no traction on his right hind side? or is it much worse than that.

      • Willie will update on yesterday’s runners on sporting life at some point I’d have thought, so should find out then if not before.

        • Well this is an interesting one but Classic Getaway has been entered in a 2 1/2 mile hurdle at Clonmel next Thursday which isn't a novice race. Willie really is finding it hard to get runs into his horses, but to chuck him in out of novice company on his first start over hurdles is very bold. Could that be a huge hint at his ability.

Could be a pretty winnable race as well with Annamix, Cash Back, Gordon Dai Dai, Indigo Breeze, Uhtred then main contenders all giving him weight

Might at least mean he considers him a Cheltenham horse if he’s willing to put him in there to get a run into him?

Think this one is very interesting, especially at 50.
Looked like 3m is what he needs .
                  Cheers RB.

                    • I don't think Eric Bloodaxe should be 16/1 anymore.... he looks a right bet in this.

                      • Hollow Games reasonably staying on there but don't think Davy was too hard on him with the AB in mind. Reckon that's worked out ideally for Elliott. He can split Ginto and HG now, with HG coming here.

Thought it wouldn't be so simple.
mentioned in my diary, I don't think it's a done deal Ballymore.
Depends what Gordon says, and the owners.
They should go ballymore as no other race to come that will be a better trial.
                              But may be ground dependent.
