Let JWM chew them up in the AB
Agreed, he didn't look that speedy just galloped away and wasn't stopping at the line. Looks all over like he will be better the further he goes. Very happy with that.

      • JWM still 9/1 for this with Sky, a late Xmas gift surely?!

        • Kilcruit looked like he lost his action having turned in. Right hind leg is all over the shop.

              • I think the main thing we need to take into account is that Robcour have two very good horses in Journey With Me and Gerri Colombe and they won't run in the same race. The stable tours all we heard was Journey With Me is a strong stayer and Elliot quoted as saying that Gerri Colombe could follow in the footsteps of fellow Robcour star Bob Olinger and he’ll probably start off at two miles, but I could see him stepping up to two-and-a-half miles as the season progresses.

I know the stable tours are not spot on, but I've always had Journey With Me going Barltett and Gerri Colombe going Ballymoore

“He's bucked the trend of our Christmas anyhow, one of the few to buck it, so that's great. It must mean he's a good horse if he can win this week!” Henry de Bromhead - Journey With Me.

                  • “I'm delighted with him, he's a lovely horse. He obviously won his bumper well, and his point-to-point, and he did it really well. He stays well,” said de Bromhead.

“It's generally a decent race, Stattler won it last year. We were hoping to go to Navan a few weeks ago but the ground was a bit good so we waited for here and it's turned out to be the right decision. Hopefully he'll be okay in the morning.”

When told he was now favourite for the Ballymore Hurdle he added:- “It's not a bag sign but he's won a maiden hurdle and there is still a long way to go. We're delighted to win that.

                    • Think Tony Mullins was right all along. Kilcruit an out and out Stayer. Think Willie will send him here now. Looked one paced in both his Hurdle starts.

Worth baring in mind, looks like he's went lame on his hind leg coming round the home turn..

Totally agree. Champion hurdle horses win Ballymores and I think he'd get done for toe.

The AB should suit him down to the ground. An exciting horse.

Had a look back at the race and you're right his back right hind leg looks strange indeed, I hope your right because he looked like he was going to pass journey at the time, however I wonder why Paul continued to ride him out all the way to the line.

Watched a replay on Sporting Life and looks bad from over 2f out. Surprised Paul Townend didnt notice and pull him up. I am on JWM for both races but I won't get carried away with todays run. Mirella Crooner closed on him in the final furlong and the rime was the slowest of the 3 2ml 4f hurdle races on today's card
