I am absolutely 100% convinced Ramillies will be a NHC horse. I like him here.

        • Please can someone convince me that Shantreusse is good enough to win this. Gone well in his races so far but can’t help thinking he’ll be outclassed here.

Don't let class worry you in this race, granted it's come to the fore in a couple of recent renewals but it's by far the most open of any of the novice races routinely. That's about as much as can sell him

Not a great deal of detail to go into here, but he's one from two over hurdles, and also has a 3m p2p win under his belt, although the form from the p2p wouldn't be that inspiring.

He's by Mahler, and a mare whose sire is Presenting, so an abundance of stamina in that pedigree. His grand dam produced Time For Rupert, among others, who was a fantastic race horse, and produced some seriously good efforts at Cheltenham too, so there is a bit of back class in the pedigree as well.

There isn't a whole heap to go on with regards to actual form this season, and I'm not entirely sure if connections will send him down this route, given how inexperienced he is, but he is one who I feel can and will improve for the step up in trip, and likely improve further once going chasing. The trainer (Paul Nolan) had Latest Exhibition run in the race a few years back now, although he came with a little bit more experience too.

I've added the NRNB price of 80/1 though.
I remember backing Latest Exhibition at 66s based on what I read on here - that was a dull one . I am intrigued by how much of an outlier 365 are with Daily Present. They are still 80s NRNB, from what I can see the rest of the NRNB firms are 20s-25s.

                  • I know Gordon said on his recent stable tour that three stripe life was going supreme but on the matchbook preview last night, one of the guys said his friend had dinner with Gordon on Tuesday night and he told him 3 stripe was going ballymore. It surely makes sense, given the depth of the races and now looking like there’s every chance he’ll avoid sir g by going there also. Three stripe will go off half the price he is now. On Gordon’s previous stable tour he said ginto most likely ballymore and the recent one he said he hadn’t decided yet. He also made it pretty clear that they don’t think hollow games is good enough. 3 stripe is going ballymore and ginto will run here imo, definitely gives them the 2 best chances of winners going that way. It’s science

Willie's latest stable tour said he reckons the way he is to ride, Ballymore might suit more (is my best guess)

                            MINELLA COCOONER

Danny gave him a great ride to win at the Dublin Racing Festival but the eye opener was how he jumped and travelled. Did he get a freebie or was he there because he was able to be there and put the others under pressure with his good jumping? His style of racing might lead you to believe he should go for the Ballymore but we’ll look at the Albert Bartlett too and decide nearer the time.

So to be fair, that doesn't really explain the exchange move....

That’s what he said in the Racing TV one. The latest one (SL) he says could go either
