Gordon’s ATR stable tour comments for Hollow Games:
”He’s a very nice horse that we think a lot of. We decided not to run him in the Champion Bumper as we didn’t think it was the right thing to do with a big horse like him at that stage of his career. He schooled very well over hurdles at Tipperary last week and as soon as we get some rain, he’ll be ready to start off over hurdles. He’s probably a horse that will stay, but I wouldn’t be afraid to start him at two miles either. We’re really looking forward to him.”
I’m not sure if Ginto won’t turn out to be the Bartlett horse for the Morans?
I was thinking this too CK.
Hoping HG takes up the 2m option as Gordon already had noted.
Hollow Games is one of a number of horses that could be a decent staying novice, but do people put him ahead of Journey With Me and Kilcruit at this stage ? Then there's the army of Cheveley horses who have the look of stayers. Of course we'll know more in weeks to come.
I'm not saying he can't be a G1 horse but if Elliott thinks he has a better one, or one with a better chance, he could put HG on the easy list with an eye at the Coral Cup/Pertemps...

Probably could list all of Gordons horses as potential handicap jobs until the season progresses and they 'sort themselves out' although I'd imagine Gordon is well aware of what he has at his disposal, unfortunately we don't.
Usually the market is a good guide for his string but as of yet we've not seen a whole heap of solid moves for his novice horses.
Thought Stage Star shaped well on his hurdles debut at Chepstow today. Jumped with ease and looked better the further he went. (Was about 3 secs quicker than stablemate Mr Glass over C&D in the preceding race)
Refers to him as more of a staying type and with all the other early season endorsements this horse has had I’m surprised the 25s for the Albert Bartlett is still available with 365. It might be that the Bob Olinger comparison means people are backing him as much for the Ballymore helping both prices to hold

I thought Mr Glass had the more genuine race, Stage Star never got out of 3rd gear but yeah travelled and jumped lovely.
I know he could probably win the Ballymore and Supreme for Willie but I’m starting to feel Kilcruit might come here for him.
Sir Gerhard needs shorter to me than Kilcruit but market vibes and word around has Ballymore being mentioned. I can’t see Willie having the two of them against each other.
If any of Hubrisko, Dysart Dynamo, State Man or and of his other novices come out and look amazing at 2 miles, I can see Sir Gerhard and Kilcruit being shuffled up in distance.
It’s not like the AB is a bad race at all. Willie sent Monkfish who then won the RSA then would have gone on this season to be one of the favourites for the GC. And Minella Indo bolted up in this the other year and has won the GC since. Definetly I can see Henry looking at this race with his future GC horses, and I believe Willie thinks the same. And I believe that all at the Mullins yard this that Kilcruit can be a GC horse one day.
It works out well for Willie as he can have a really strong hand in all three novice’s (4 if you count the mares).
I think this year in this division is going to be the hardest yet to figure out which of Willies horses goes where with so many at his disposal.
In the end if Kilcruit does come here, it could be the best AB ever with the top three Irish yards having really great contenders in Kilcruit, Classic Getaway, JWM and Hollow Games.
Then chuck in Stage Star for Nicholls and Letsbeclearaboutit for Cromwell. Nicky has numberous good novices this season (according to him) he’ll have something to put in here.
