  • So, if Robcour's people are to be trusted and they are to be split, then GC here and JWM Ballymore. Is that how we see it now or are they going to change stance and run them both here.

    • Looked in trouble didn't he turning in, but did keep finding impressively. Very slow at a lot of his hurdles though.

      • Pocket talk but still think the Ballymore isn't out of the question. If he jumped better this would have been put the bed a long time ago and the mood would be different about his trip. Hard to see him stepping back in trip in the short term though alright. Pity.

        • Well a slow old boat with some experience used to be the ones to watch out for in AB, not sure if those attributes are a lot less now, with much better horses turning up last few years

            What about Grand Jury?

Not sure I've seen anything that says GC and JWM will be split.

            • Personally I see him as a level below Grand Jury (Ballymore) and especially Journey With Me (Albert Bartlett). Think he would be 2nd string in whichever race he went for Robcour (and probably for Elliott seeing as he has Ginto and Hollow Games)

Most likely for me would be the Martin Pipe, followed by Bartlett then Ballymore. Or he could just not go.

Ya, I couldn't be having GC after that. Had to be pushed along after too many hurdles and would be found out by something with a bit more left in the tank if he jumped like that at cheltenham IMO

I cant see him in ballymore after that. look liked he stayed on well but caught for pace a few times and that jumping would have him off his feet too soon

I think you might be right, GJ ballymore, GC Martin Pipe and JWM here would look the most likely way of splitting them at this stage, but it would really depend on how well JWM performs at the DRF, if he wins well there then you'd have to say JWM comes here regardless.

Nothing a done deal until post-DRF you’d have thought but I’d take that as a + for Ginto heading to the Ballymore. Hardly going to run 3 here and nothing there surely?

                        • "He won in spite of the track and we were very worried about running him but there is a lack of races. I didn't think he had enough experience to go for a Grade 1 (at the Dublin Racing Festival). Jack said it was safe but as good as he wanted it." Gordon Elliott - Gerri Colombe.

Think it's the only way you can realistically split them now. Obviously he might not split them, but I don't see how else he does.

I'd be very disappointed if JWM is not considerably better than him anyway! I'd cash out for any of the races if I could though to be honest. Don't think hes good enough for any festival race.
