  • O'Toole seems one for the notebook for the RSA next year

    • Would love to see a more ambitious approach with O'Toole. Cheltenham novice hurdles didn't harm the chasing prospects of the likes of Monkfish, Minella Indo, Allaho etc. Would have thought the experience of an A.Bartlett in particular would be useful for a horse with future Gold Cup aspirations.

I'm sure there are plenty that it did though

We just dont know their names because they never achieved anything

I think it has a strong record for producing graded chasers right down the field not just those who place/win.

            • All my Ginto bets for the Albert Bartlett no longer have cashout available with 365, has anything been said regarding his destination or is this just bet365 playing games?

Cashout was removed pretty quickly after he won the lawlors on Sunday and never been reinstated, even after Jack K said he thought he thought he was a three miler post race. Cashout also gone for Hollow Games for Ballymore at same time so bet365 made decision there and then as to race targets based on lawlors result.

                • I can see why Gordon hadn’t been committed in the post race interviews.

I believe there was a seriously strong head wind at Naas, which would indicate a good staying performance by Ginto imo. The time didn’t seem too quick either so I wouldn’t be too sold on him going to the Ballymore just yet.

                  • Really odd race to start him off in that & it’s backfired. Looks a bit of a boat

                        • CG did far too much early on and in that ground was always going to struggle to get home.
May be a boat, but personally I would give him another chance to settle better and on better ground before judging.

                            • He just looked totally one paced, rather than struggling to get home, to me. Not against him for the Bartlett at all and definitely not writing him off. Hopefully up in trip the next day.

Not sure connections will want to step him up in trip pulling the way he did. Will need to iron that out first
