But nothing yet. All guess work you see. Ginto and Hollow Games have a big head start.

But they've both been seen out this season and I've got more to go on. Thats my point.

Same every year with Elliott v Mullins though
Elliott shows his hand early and more often than not his aren’t quite quick enough in spring

Agreed. But at this point you are guessing that Mullins or anyone else has something better. Until we see them, Gordon's boys are in position A waiting to be knocked off their perch.

I’d say educated guess seeing as it happens most years.

                  • …Hills have Ginto @ 16-1 for the Albert Bartlett in their Specials section, it’s 12-1 in their AB market.

Whatdeawant looked like a horse that might appreciate 3 miles when winning yesterday

….telling that Mullins has name checked the Ballymore given the owner sponsors the race.

Have to think Whatdeawant will come on lots for that run, the way it finished has to be a plus with the Cheltenham hill in mind regardless of its ultimate destination. If it’s just about in touch turning for home you wouldn’t be throwing your ticket away.

It’s all a bit convenient the Ballymore owner link imo. Everything I saw last year and yesterday screams AB for me and if it were owned by anyone else I question whether it would be such a debate. Yes Willie is quite romantic at times and it makes a great story but this fella and City Island couldn’t be more different imo.when the romance is taken out of the equation and rational heads prevail then I think they will conclude the further he goes the better ....just my opinion...and I confess I have him at fancy prices for AB and in about a million doubles as he was the first horse I focussed on ante post so guilty of pocket talking no doubt

                          • Whatdeawant doesn't need this trip. Showed speed in yesterday's race and AB would be the wrong race.

Over 2m4 he'd beat Ginto IMO.

Churchstonewarrie is of interest today for this. He's giving weight today but I expect him to improve again.

40s with Bet365 but doesn't seem to be priced up by others.

Well thats an opinion you are entitled to, but my eyes saw a strong stayer at that distance, who would have no issue with 3 miles.
Their will be a lot of sorting with the stables novices between now and March for sure.

Well he did run a faster time carrying 9lbs more. Won't tell the whole story but still a decent hurdle debut.
