Hes interesting, and could be anything.
    That’s it really.
Ive parted with some cash to find out how good he is, others won’t and I totally understand that.
I suppose I feel he can't be anything, as he'd be campaigned like a proper horse if he was going to be top, top notch....

However he could easily be a player I admit, he has looked good.

And of course Plumpton have had the bonus, not sure if they still have?
Yes , C.a.T , The Bonus still going . Chris Gordon's horse Annual Invictus has qualified for it this season ,

      • Hope for those who haven't got Vauban....

        Kevin Blake...

The Spring Juvenile Hurdle saw Vauban get rave reviews for seeing off the previously unbeaten Fil Dor. While it was undoubtedly a classy performance, was I the only one that wasn’t overly impressed with his jumping? His technique was average at best and he consistently jumped out to his right. The new course at Cheltenham doesn’t punish such a tendency as much as other left-handed tracks will, but it couldn’t be considered ideal.

          • Wrong topic this so apologies, but I thought For Pleasure had qualified for the bonus from Plumpton as well.

In This World was getting that campaign Kev because they thought he was the better of the two. Doctor Parnassus isn't as quick as In This World and will be a future stayer which and a Triumph can often suit at this stage.

It's often hard to get a comparative line on the Irish horses, but I know where they thought they potentially were with Fil Dor because of the French form, and they thought In This World would beat that one in the Triumph.

They do like him, and I think hopeful would be the best way to describe the thoughts on Parnassus.
Luck is a dividend of sweat. The more I sweat, the luckier I get.

I read that as a negative for not having Vauban on side. He beat Fil Dor easily whilst not jumping well, and the Triumph will be run on a track more forgiving of poor jumping ...

I would settle for them liking him and being hopeful.
Would not really expect much more to be honest.
When I backed him after Ascot I was really hoping more than anything that he would turn up here, so nrnb was a fair option.
Looks like he runs here now so can always be a bit braver if I feel like it.
It is hard to see beyond PP and Vauban, but funny ol race this sometimes

When did they take charge of him as according to Racing Post the change of trainer notification happened 17th Jan and he had his first race for DS on 22nd Jan

The RP will often (not always) only update trainer/owner on an an entry.

                          • Does anyone like The Tide Turns or Icare Allen for this? On Vauban at decent prices already & think he wins but have a roll up each on these 2 that I'm going to cash this morning I think as from what I can see 1. They won't be good enough to finish ahead of Vauban/Piped Piper/Fil Dor regardless and 2. They might not come here and end up in one of the handicaps?

I cashed Icare Allen already. I've held on to The Tide Turns for now, but may cash him out if he gets another entry before the festival.

I think Willie has his top 2 now, in Vauban and Il Etait Temps, the latter likely to improve a fair bit for that debut run over hurdles in the Spring Juvenile, too. I think Gordon likely has his 1-2 as well, in Pied Piper & Fil Dor, the only small complication with these two are that they are owned by the same owner and therefore may just consider splitting them up, although as others have pointed out, this is probably unlikely, but not out of the question, but this is the reason I hold on to The Tide Turns currently.

Thanks - agreed with everything above & summed up my thinking too, will cash them shortly & use to re-invest elsewhere...
