    Tongue tie added for tomorrow

Heard that in week and worried me

Maybe fine tomorrow ....but very young for that? Not much talked about the last Envoi run with Elliott he had one added....was that a clue to what was to come

    • Drift for the triumph odd, usually cut no matter what if due to run.

      • Mullins quotes on his 4 DRF runners:

        13:35 Icare Allen

He won very well at Leopardstown at Christmas and has been doing everything right at home since. He’s a jumping-bred horse but I think that even though he’s only had one run over hurdles, the way he jumped last time suggests he’s going to cope with going up in grade and be able to stay with these more experienced rivals.

        13:35 Il Etait Temps

This is his first run for us, he’s a nice type that we bought in France but I’d say his inexperience will count against him.

        13:35 Vauban

His form was given a great boost by Pied Piper at Cheltenham last week. His Flat rating and form tell us he has the ability and if he’s able to stay with these more experienced jumping rivals over the hurdles he will have the ability in the straight.

        13:35 Vadaly

She has good jumping form in France and it will be interesting to see how she compares to the top Irish horses.

As an IA Triumph backer I’m quietly encouraged by that quote….though in general take these things with a pinch of salt tbh

Yep, i was impressed as well.
Could literally be anything and has entry next week.
Not heard anything re plans, but an entry tells me that they want another race into him, and its possible they are thinking of Cheltenham.

I don't think it's too relevant tbh, but then I mentioned it

Wouldn't worry too much about it, plenty of trainers run them with a tongue tie when they've never made a noise, think of it as a "just in case" measure as it doesn't bother them to wear one.

                    • He could be high class!

Pulled most of the race and came there swinging!

Be some race him vs pied piper……fil dor to the boodles?

                            • Blimey - was just saying to a mate that he was plenty fiddly over a fair few of them and then just loomed up. Icare Allen came in there swinging too.

Could be as good a Triumph as I've seen and hopefully throws up some proper horses to go into open company next season.

                              • Lovely result. Boosts the PP form significantly and somewhat ‘bursts’ the FD bubble. Thanks Eggs for highlighting the 20/1 win at DRF & Cheltenham. That was an excellent find
