  • No need to be discussing Pied Piper on the Boodles thread anymore. Big performance and reminded me visually of when Our Connor won the Triumph. The field probably isn’t the quality he’ll face in March but he was not tested at all there.

      • Very impressive from Pied Piper, need to get more on him for sure. Be very interesting to see how Vauban runs next time.

Bookies aren't so sure on that...

          • Very very good.
Makes Vauban vs Fil Dor next weekend even more anticipated.

            • That deserves a Lobos Wowsers. He certainly enjoyed the quick ground as per Charlie. Has to be a serious Triumph horse now. They'll run both of them won't they? If not, NRNB the both of them in Boodles ?

              • Jesus 14s into 5/2 for beating trees

Thats some cut, you'd think hed just won a deep grade 1 beating a couple of key contenders

I've just cashed Fil Dor for 15pts profit. Had him at 33's but I can back NRNB now and cover the returns for no risk. No brainer, IMO.

Thats as good a grade 1 as you could probably get for 4 year olds at this point in the season. The price is fully justified IMO

Good point. What has he actually beaten? Not to say, he's not a very good horse. What it does say though - the British based juveniles have some lengths to find on the Irish ones.

Porticello and Knight Salute will be flying the union jack, but I wonder if they will think of heading straight to Aintree?

                          • As a vauban backer im glad about that run, but i think hes just shown huge improvement and it would be foolish to assume vauban has the same level of improvement in him! I hope he has because i thought he was the better horse when they met on debut..id agree that pied piper visually looks a better horse then fil dor and hes also put to bed him needing soft/heavy ground discussion

                            • Both are entered in the Supreme. I wonder if they might send one of them in that direction.

It was a grade 2 and the two best British juveniles didn't run

His main rival pulled his chance away in the first half of the race

                                5/2 is absolutely shocking
