Hi, when you visit the Racing Post owners name and click on "Horses in their name" and the list does not indicate French Aseel under this list of Horses.

Does anyone know what became of the above who was fancied for the 2021 Triumph.
It was announced by Willie Mullins that he was scratched from the above and is not even listed as a Mrs Jim Donnelly owned animal any longer.
French Aseel cost the Donnelly's a small fortune from Ellie Marie Holden's yard after trotting up on it's only run over hurdles.
I'd him backed for the CH pre season but in Willie's ST he said he'd a setback and likely won't be back this season.

Most likely because he's never run for them yet rather than anything else.

I searched him on RP and it shows him still with the Donnelly's, it could be because he's never run for them yet?

Haha yeah, didn't see this reply, this is what I suspect too.

I cashed in when he missed last sason's Dublin festival and as much as I have googled for news I have yet to find a cause of setbacks

                • Irish Hill was mentioned a couple of weeks ago after being mentioned on one of the Racing Post videos. Won today but would have lost if Graystone stayed up at the last.

Knight Salute should meet In This World at Kempton in the Adonis. Hopefully In This World wins impressively as the juveniles this year are a desperate bunch.

It's been a long time since the race produced anything that was competitive in the Triumph, nothing since Zarkander really, I wonder whether this is a blip in line with the recent Irish domination or whether the race simply doesn't attract the best juveniles any more or whether recent training methods mean a longer rest, who knows, we need someone of the calibre of Saxon Warrior to interrogate that...

Bit early for the desperate comments imo.

I've not really been impressed by anything so far. We'd usually see a couple of decent marks from the juveniles but only Fil Dor has reached a mark of 140 and that's dubious as the race was very slow and Fil Dor was still comparatively slow late on.

Last year we had Zanahiyr, Duffle Coat and Quilixios with higher RPRs at this stage than any of this years crop.

2020 - Aspire Tower, Allmankind, Goshen had higher RPRs. Even AWOTS had put up the same RPR as Fil Dor.

2019 - also desperate but we had the promise of Sir Erec (RIP).

2018 - Apple Shakira and Stormy Ireland had higher adjusted RPRs than this years crop.

Fil Dor is the best we've seen so far and he is far too short for the performances he has given.

Hopefully something comes out of the woodwork but at the moment, it is looking a poor crop.

Bar Porticello and Knight Salute is there any credible challenger that has seen a racecourse more than twice ?
I could be wrong but in my mind juveniles have usually raced more often and/or have come from the flat where we have more formlines to assess...

Interne de sivola. Showed significant improvement from first to second run as trainer tends to want them to learn on the job so to speak. Quite a strong 3 year old with preference for soft ground and should come on a bundle again ...problem is trainer is pretty apathetic when it comes to the festival. Now rated 132 which isn’t too shabby after only two lifetime runs in any sphere.

apologies just seen you said more than twice. Ignore all my waffle

Ok, so ratings thus far deem our current juveniles are behind some of recent years.
I just tend to judge them after Cheltenham. They are 3 yr olds, very soon to be 4 with any level of improvement to come.
Ive been visually impressed with the two I mentioned and FD has looked ok.
Give them more time is basically what I am saying before we start using words like desperate……imo anyway.

Fair point. We may still get some decent ones to come out and they do improve at different rates. I do think it will give us a better betting race though this year.
