Sir Erec was a full colt the year he ran in the Triumph (RIP). Each horse behaves differently is the basic thinking. I wouldn't fancy one jumping a chasing fence however, hurdles should be no issue, they ideally brush their front legs on the top bar and graze their breast bones. If your crown jewels come into contact with a hurdle, you really would be in a lot of trouble even without them.Originally posted by Winging The Last View PostComment

Was slightly tongue in cheek that anyone would intentionally enter a horse just for that reason. Willie did make sure there was one in the sir erec (rip) race tho that went off at 40/1. Wouldn’t stop me backing him at a decent price ante-post but I’d be weary of backing him at a short price till I saw his antics in the parade ring on the day. But I’m sure that’s the case for many horses as Cheltenham does sometimes get the better of horsesComment
