Hello Fat Jockeys,

Upgrading the Fat Jockey forum!: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/fatjockeyforum

We're looking to upgrade the 'hosting CPU' so I've set up a crowdfunding project.

I would love it if you could donate using the link below to access my project page. Any contribution large or small will be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

It is, of course, a punt, but Willie started Laurina off in this race, and Hauturiere started off her career in France at Fontainebleu, the same course Laurina did. In this case putting two & two together won't necessarily get you the answer you would be hoping for, but worth noting.

Her French form has worked out very hit and miss, it was only a NHF race, where she finished 2nd, and as to be expected, some of the horses have come out of it not taking to hurdles too well and others have done well since the transition, overall it can be taken with a pinch of salt.

On her breeding, shes by No Risk At All, a sire of the likes of Allaho, Keskonrisk and former favourite of this race (2019) and Champion Hurdle winner (2020), Epatante. The dam has yet to produce anything of note, but it's still early days for her, but her grand-dam has produced some good horses, including multiple graded winner in France, Usual Suspects, so there is a little bit of back class in her pedigree.

She's a 50/1 (can be boosted) poke for this race with WH, obviously no cash out, but I've had a little go on this.
Barely jumped a twig. Will need to improve significantly, but certainly not in the Laurina bracket.

She was really well supported though, was 3/1 earlier when I looked, went off 11/8, so a bit of a surprise she was so poor jumping, though not the first time I've seen a Mullins horse fail to fire off the back of some support.

    • Brandy Love, Heia and Take Tea entered for Willie over 2m in a mares maiden at Naas next Thursday

      • Heia is one I'm particularly interested in. Might have a small dabble at 33/1.

        • Peter Fahey didn't even mention her here/ or wasn't asked about her. One way or other, she's forgotten about

Sorry for not responding earlier. We really didn't talk about her (with Peter) . To be honest, the fact she was not featured in Peter's Stable Tour in the Weekender/Racing Post probably tells its own story; I will leave it at that.

              • Brandy Love & Take Tea both declared at Naas on Thursday.

Probably sounds crazy but with the talk of Brandy Love needing a trip, the likelihood that Willie will have half a dozen for this race and the Mares' Hurdle looking quite weak at this point... could she end up running there? Just something that's been on my mind for a while, but not sure how likely it is he'd run a novice in that race.

I mean in theory she could, but there's also Fairyhouse for novices over 2m4. Colreevy probably similar in that she was a winning pointer but stayed in novice company..

Is she likely to take the entry up do we know? Really hope so. I see her over further than 2m long term, but think she might be classy enough to get away with it this year.

Willie has five entries in that race, which is for 4yos only.

He would be keen to run more than one I would think, due to his delayed start to the season.

Willie has Harmonie Star who has form ties with Holly too. She’s been in the yard a while so should run this season if fit.

I was quite taken by holly’s run today
showed a nice turn of foot
I have added her as 20s with PP was enough to tempt me
