It's definitely a 'punt' based on breeding over anything else, and I have absolutely no knowledge of how she is working or if she's even done a piece of work yet.

On her breeding, she is by Walk In The Park, a producer of Douvan & Min and she is out of Monte Solaro, the same dam that produced Altior, among others. She is trained by Denise Foster, I'd imagine soon to be Gordon Elliott again, and now the stigma of backing the Willie Mullins runners in the race can be done with, for now, at least, this wouldn't be an issue.

Of course, it could amount to absolutely nothing, it wouldn't be the first time, nor the last, but she's bred to be half decent, and for me, she's worth a small interest at a big price.
Bellatior holds an entry at Punchestown on Monday, plus a couple of others for Gordon, and also Willie has a few entered at this stage also, Hermine, who is not priced up could be interesting of his lot, IMO.

Belle Metal? Owners have won this race the last two years and she put up a good rating in her latest bumper run. I think connections said she wants further than 2m but there's good reasons to believe she'll be a leading contender if she makes it to Cheltenham. I'm keen to take advantage of a market-leading 20/1 on bet365 before it goes.

I personally think they'll have better ones for this test than Belle Metal. As you say they think she'll stay well + the owners were not shy in purchases that might end up better for the Mares Novice.

What other novices do the owners have?

I wonder whether they may target the bumper with her?? Another Fayonagh maybe??

Both Kicking Princess & Trendy Lady ran respectably behind Glan at Fairyhouse yesterday but didn't do a whole lot to advertise Party Central's maiden hurdle win. Still hopeful there's more to come from the latter but reckon she needs to step forward markedly to be a big player in this division.

I've been going over my book and I have only backed one horse (Gypsy Island) for this so far so thought I'd dig a little deeper to try and find one to keep an eye on at least.

Obviously the Mullins horses are ones to look over for this and I felt like he's got a better than the more known Glens of Antrim and Grangee (and they're decent themselves). I know people have discussed Idoles des Jeunes but the one I am looking at is Harmonie Star, the One Jump Ahead book touches on her in the top 40 to follow section and connections think she should be a classy one. She's got some nice form in the French bumpers (a lot of form which has been franked). I know we need to see her debut for Mullins and also to jump a hurdle but I do feel at 25/1 it could pay to get on board early.

I find it hard to weigh up the French NH form. Harmonie Star has a string of 1s, she was previously beaten by and then dead heated with Holly who went on to finish 5th in a Grade 1 bumper and is now with Jonjo O'Neill. I think it was Idoles des Jeunes who beat Cape Gentleman on the flat. Harmonie Star is compared favourably with Gaillard Du Mesnil by the agent who sourced her in OJA.

I can see Allegorie De Vassy being the one people start to latch onto

                      Elle est belle Grangee
                      Gypsy Island
                      Allegorie de Vassy

Those are the four I've focused on, first two have form from the Cheltenham bumper, Lobos made the case for GI I believe, AdV makes sense given the owner trainer combo for this race and the comments in one jump ahead

Just noticed Broomfield Hall let down Party Central's formline at Tramore last Thursday... adds some more weight to my suspicion that the latter needs to step forward markedly.

I'm the same, said it immediately after the race on here, reminds me so much of Queen's Brook's debut over hurdles. Third and fourth from the race ran vs Glan showing mixed form again. Personally doubt Glan's good enough for here either.

Jumping Jet entered for a mares maiden at the weekend and if Choice of Words is one to go by, she should be far ahead of Brookfield Hall.
