Just back all Mullins big priced ones on the Tote on the day. Can see there being another 50/1 shot.

Maybe we are a tough crowd to please at times.
But the details came later.
Again he may have related this earlier, but him not being that high profile the media reported late.
I used the example for context.
The same thing you mentioned relate to ADV, as it seemed obvious they were looking at the horse.
But the choice of the gambler to stick or twist is just as difficult for connections with regards communications.
If they say they are having scans or blood tests every time horses have scans or blood tests, then people would have coronary's with the exchange's.
They are best keeping quiet until a definitive statement can be made.
The issue is the Nob's in the yard that spot the Vets entering stables and tell their mates.
But even this is difficult to police in a big yard with hundreds of staff milling about.

The thing that grates about RR & his racing manager Joe Chambers is they are good mates with a lot of racing media. For example Tony Calvin is never one to not speak his mind. If you listen to this weeks weighed in Betfair podcast it’s a question raised. He says he reached out to him & was told current situation was ok but could change. Which reading between the lines confirmed exactly what we knew….that she would likely be ruled out but wasn’t confirmed at that point. What gets me is they seemed more bothered around finding the source who clearly profited / released it than actually providing an open & honest update! Time & time again, the exchange price speaks far louder than any quotes. I’m gutted as had her in a few bits & singles at decent prices but am I surprised after last week….absolutely not!

And apologies to Dave on this occasions as it looks like he probably wasn't given all the details by mr chambers.
Or didn't ask the right questions.

It’s a tricky one because as Kev Blake often says, if we heard every little things the markets would literally be all over the place all the time. But at this time of year with a certain profile of horse, I personally think it’s best to give some kind of update myself….because the exchanges told us something was amis anyway. The line of “nothing to actually report” is a bit off for me….she’d gone for various x-rays ffs….me, personally…that seems like something to report but what do I know, I’m just a punter
As JC said on the NLD this morning they thought it was a simple stone bruise until she went lame again.
You’re also talking about a Mares Novice horse. Like it or not Mullins and his team have much more pressing matters to worry about than putting out updates about a mare in a race that very little people care about. People forget he’s training 200+ horses everyday and all that goes with that.
The exchanges of course always provide a guide to these things but then Allaho went out to big prices last year before bolting up, maybe he was lame and was just a small stone bruise.
Imagine if there was a release about that and he won 4 days later of whatever - People would have been moaning the other way. Damned if you do, damned if you don’t.

While Kev was posting, I was composing the following. Says pretty much the same thing but worth repeating.
Horses are slightly lame on a regular basis. Often it's trivial like a stone bruise and the horse is perfectly fine a few days later. If it's not fine, the scanning and x-ray process can be quite complicated if you don't have an identified point of pain. There's a huge skeletal area and some parts, like the pelvis, are difficult to scan properly because of the large amount of soft tissue.
Willie has over 170 entries for the Festival. I haven't checked but I imagine that covers about 80 horses and he'll have over 50 runners with maybe half of them single figure prices. He cannot be expected to give regular updates on all of them and ADV is not special just because a few people on here have backed her on ante post terms. The owners will always hear first (well, second after the stable staff) and in many cases it will be the owners who decide when to release information. All trainers operate in this way and they wouldn't keep owners onside if said owners were hearing information about their own horses via the media rather than from the trainer.

And for this yard the web of potential whispers is massive, so it will inevitably get to someone at some stage who wants to make a few pounds on the exchange.
Most likely people with no serious connection to the yard as the amounts are so small in comparison to events we've witnessed around the exchange's in the past.
The 'yard' are most definitely not gaining anything in these situations.

All that being said though, one of those is now out and the other looks a potential nutter so she maybe has a decent chance. I wouldn’t look at anything in that race other than the big 3 from WPM so isn’t much to say she would have covered the rest of the field imo.

Love the assumptions that anyone thinking this hasn't been handled well must've lost bets. Find any post where I've mentioned ADV chances positively.
Brandy Love was and still is a good thing imo. Expecting to see her win impressively.
Or run out...

All completely valid points, totally get it. Owner pays the bills, control the PR on how info is shared etc. I just feel that with high profile stables & horses (ADV was fav for this race after all) this close to the fez it’s important for clarity. And when TC says ‘everything ok…at the moment’ - is it better not to just be transparent or just say nothing. Anyway, everyone is different. It doesn’t change much. She’s out & that’s that. I recall Cooldine being ‘lame as a duck’ in the morning before winning the RSA in the afternoon but that rumour didn’t get out thank god! Anyway, we move on as they say…
