Don't get me wrong, my personal opinion is that no trainer/owner owes anyone in the betting public anything at all but my god they get so much more respect from me when they do provide information in a timely manner. (Or even simpler, they just don't lie through their teeth...)

Did Dave Yates quote his source ?
He's always come across as a clueless twat to me.
And I've seen him on preview nights talking absolute bollocks, not opinion bollocks, factual bollocks.
It appears that they found something minor with her but she seemed fine enough - but as is routine, they have done the checks/scans anyway, and found a bone chip.
This may take a few days to establish and then they need to decide if she is fine to run with it or needs time.
This sort of think is entirely normal and the final decision is not going to be minutes after spotting any issue with the animal. In some cases it will be days as the issue is more complicated and not a no brainer like an open fracture.
People need to get real.
We had a small trainer with Porlock Bay who's had the horse on a breathing machine for a few days, only tell people he's bot going to cheltenham after the entries come out without him in it.
This is worse.

probably worth listening to for some as it explains how tricky a situation it is.
And apologies to Dave on this occasions as it looks like he probably wasn't given all the details by mr chambers.
Or didn't ask the right questions.

As soon as I read his after race comment I chose to keep my money in my pocket whereas others dismissed what he said. This is a choice, he was telling the truth and others thought they knew better and were wrong.
And it was hard to distinguish what he was saying, because he mentioned the horse didn't seem to stay, but he clearly felt the horse wasn't on his best form,
But yesterdays announcement after decs was worse, as it appears clear they knew they had found an issue and were treating it and were not going to enter him.
To be fair, they may have only just decided on the non entry at the very last minute for all I know (although it didn't sound like it), but I made the point to highlight how tricky these things can be and obviously Mullins has probably the most horses in training, so lameness and issues will arise on a daily basis for his yard, and most will turn out to be nothing too serious.

I really fancied her for this and I don’t really want to back anything else at the minute as the prices are well gone. For example I went with La Primma Donna against Dinoblue which obviously ended up in reverse. Dinoblue is very short for having one race, she may be that good, time will tell. WPM really seems to like her though. Brandy Love I couldn’t trust, certainly not as fav, she looks a loony and even going left handed may not be a complete fix. Then the others are a bit meh for me, bit like last year. Statuaire surely would be more confidence etc think WPM’s comments on her say it all, Grangee looked well held before falling lto, Impervious hmm could be one but I’m not convinced, well held by Statuaire. Just think WPM will win it, that might seem boring but he’ll want to having lost it last year.
Hors Piste might be one to move onto, will have a think.
