"We're really looking forward to stepping her up in grade and that race now qualifies her for the EBF Final on April 2. She does have an entry for the Mares' Novices' Hurdle at the festival but before this we were hoping to qualify and go to Newbury, so that remains the most likely plan"
Thanks Kevloaf kind of what I was expecting from Harry fry , probably not good enough to win but maybe would have had a squeak of hitting the frame in the mares novice

He's already got the unbeaten Love Envoi potentially for the Mares Novice Hurdle.

      • Perhaps one for the stupid questions thread, but wonder if anyone thinks Innatendue is of any interest for this.

I go to Musselburgh regularly, and the 2 day meeting in February is my favourite. John McConnell's horses are worth a look when they come to Musselburgh, and I was drawn to this one due to the Triumph Hurdle entry. She started very slowly, and looked a lost cause early on. However, she was nursed into the race and looked to have a chance coming to the last, though was comfortably beaten in the end by Impulsive One.

My interest came from looking at the very helpful analysis from Saxon Warrior . There have been some horses placed at thumping prices in this race after very little experience. Concertista must have really surprised the Mullins yard first time as she went off at 66-1.

The record of 4-y-o in this race is an obvious negative, but I find it interesting that the yard gave her an entry in this and the Triumph. I don't have enough knowledge of the game to know if a subsequent spin on the all weather in France is a positive or a negative! Perhaps she may be of some interest if Impulsive One bolts up in the Adonis. Currently 100-1 NRNB with Bet 365. I've had a very small each way nibble just for fun.

I should also thank Kotkijet for the fantastic detail on juveniles - Innatendue mentioned in post #192 (being an old fart I failed to work out how to add a link ). The €100,000 price tag mentioned there was another factor which kept my interest going.

        • Is it me or is Allegorie De Vassys exchange price a worry? I'm not sure if I'm reading it right!

Haven't seen anything official but starting to see people mention on twitter (well aware this is not the best place for info!)

                  • Exchanges don't look good for a lot of them in there do they? Brandy Love, Grangee, Impervious, Statuaire, all at 1000 to lay...

Saw Dinoblue was only available at 1.03 to back a minute ago!

                          • …if the inevitable happens with Allegorie, I wonder if Mullins will aim Statuaire at this (also a County Hurdle entry). 20-1 NRNB with 365 is a standout.

Statuaire came 6th (behind Sir G) at DRF in the same race GDC finished 6th in last year before going on to win at the Festival.

                            • What I would say is for every ferny hollow and benie des dieux situation there is also allaho/gauloise situations, where mullins horses drifted markedly in the lead up to cheltenham only for it to prove to be absolutely nothing.

I'm fearing the worst but there's also a chance there is another "source" out there somewhere who is spreading misinformation for their own gain, and that goes for any occurence similar to this.

personally i'd never cash out even if I could and whatever will be will be, i'd rather lose my stake than lose my bet on a 33/1 shot who does end up running and going off fave and win
