Allegorie was eased down which I liked to see when they’ve been given a slap, responded and put the race to bed and then eased down to the line. Don’t get me wrong had Brandy Love jumped straight she would have had to work harder for the win but that’s no stick to knock Allegorie imo.

Hard to know what to take from that, not backing Brandy Love right now, no point, surely can’t take too many positives? Yes cheltenham is left handed, but that was very wild at times. Now will be interesting to see who Townened chooses at Cheltenham, surely has to be Allegorie after that? Unless they thing they’ve sorted Brandy Loves jumping at Cheltenham.
Even as a backer of ADV at 25s, I think Brandy Love would've hosed up if she never jumped left. Going for the Mares Nov, I fancy her quite strongly to turn the form around with ADV especially with the 5lb the winner has now received.

    • I can understand what with the ground lost jumping violently left and the 5 lb pull at the weights that plenty think the form can be reversed. And while it’s obviously impossible to rule it out, I’m not sure we’re close to seeing ADV’s ceiling. I’m not entirely sure the plan was for her to win that race today as she looked to be cantering around for the most part giving Brandy a nice soft lead. As it was Brandy’s jumping went to pot and ADV couldn’t help win.

        • Following the race trainer Mullins reported “she (Allegorie De Vassy) did it well and I think she’s going to improve again. The jump she threw at the last showed what she had left in the locker.

“I’d imagine she’ll go straight to Cheltenham now.”

Regarding Brandy Love's left-leaning tendencies, the Champion Trainer added “the runner-up showed tendencies of that in Naas and I think going left-handed will be a big plus for her in the future.

“It was a tremendous run from her, and I think both of them will go in the same direction (to Cheltenham).”

Forgot her. Thanks. Willie for 1,2, 3 and possibly 4 here.

              She's the one for me.
Not sure where she lines up next.
6/1 NRNB is a fair price.

              • Atleast we know Brandy Love will stay the 3m trip in the RSA next year after the course she plotted there

                • Interested to know what people think of Lunar Display? I was keen on her early season form, but was cooled by Kevin Blake’s description of her as ‘an average mare’ in crabbing Hollow Games’ form.

Watching brief today as carrying top weight but felt she stayed on nicely giving Willie’s two 7lbs.

2m too short? Maybe better thinking of the Pipe? 26/1 NRNB is tempting as an ew proposition.

I’d like to see her entered again before Cheltenham because to my eye she doesn’t convince me as much as Willie’s other novices and I can’t quite put my finger on why.

                    • Surprised Grangee was pushed out after today. Was a clumsy fall today but was coming to challenge and from the way they’d ridden her it seemed like a place today and to improve at Cheltenham was the plan. A shame she came down but like last season I hope she can go on exceeding connections expectations

I picked her out as a very interesting runner for the Mares Novice until I saw who trained her.

Really? Looked like there was 2 very exciting mares in there, one which needs to sort some jumping issues but is better left handed, very exciting the pair of them.

I'd be fairly sure there have been worse runnings.
