I like brandy love for today but also find Townsend picking the wrong horse more regularly than he should when he has a few to choose from. If it was Ruby picking then I would be more confident

I think we could easily see ADV as Townsend choice at Cheltenham. She jumps hurdles high for my liking as I guess that’s driven by her French experience over hurdles and not who I will be backing at the fez with or without PT

Absolute comedy stuff from brandy love there. Thought she was going to run out at the second last must have some engine to finish as close as she did to the winner, covered an extra 4 furlongs she was so far out to her left at every flight

Allegorie entered in dublin handicap next week and got mark of 133.
I'd say that's a pointer if they run tomorrow that they're not that keen.
Otherwise you'd think they'd go for the handicap for 4x the money.

Then Townend picking brandy love enforces that a little.

Might be reading too much into it and allegorie may look less like a giraffe tomorrow, but I had brandy love as the more professional mare over hurdles.
Not always easy to read these novice mares to be fair.
Just think Brandy Love looks more powerful, which is what you often need in this race.

Paul was a bit slow to correct her and should really have woke her up earlier, it was getting worse all the time and he waited until she almost ran out to give her a crack.
Should run at Cheltenham though as they'll expect better left handed and no penalty.

The Giraffe looked better after first couple and did it nicely.

Well. That was bizarre. Am I right that AdeV gets a 5lb penalty for Cheltenham now? Might not be such a terrible result for Brandy Love and going left handed at Cheltenham, but that needs some schooling to iron out…
