The issue I have with Brandy Love is the Mares Novice Hurdle trip. She's clearly very good, but she shapes like a stayer to me, and quicker ground at the Festival over two miles may catch her out.
I’d agree with this too. I’m not sure that mares from PTPs will win this race regularly despite last years winner. I think that it was an outlier and that normal service will resume this season with a Mullins, French sourced winner.

Brandy Love and Allegorie de Vassy fit that profile, I’m on both, but prefer ADV after todays Irish debut, she looks a really imposing specimen, and I can see her forging up the hill well, at Prestbury Park.

Willie is tightening his grip on the market for this race, now.
He only lent the race to Henry last season.

      • Experience is a big positive for the race. EDS's race really is the only one where a horse hadn't run many times before.

        • Anyone heard anything about mighty blue as not seen over hurdles since this rate last year whilst now rated 108 on the flat
could have been a very decent race last year with tellmesomething and magic daze in front of her

Took the decision to cash out my stakes on her until I see an entry. She had a busy enough Summer, the only positive outcome I can conceive is that they are resting her until the ground conditions pick up in the spring - although she didn't have much of a rest last season so who knows. But again, I will be waiting until I see an entry before I back her again.

Job mentioned she'd had a slight setback end of August, he said she'll be back when ready and the mares novice is the target again.

                • Another possibly very informative race at Clonmel for this.

                  Happy D'ex
                  Dinoblue
                  La Prima Donna

If Mi Lighthouse wins or beats the Mullins other two it would be disappointing....

Yeah seen that as well. Jockey bookings don’t help to gage who’s showing more

Dinoblue unraced, La Prima Donna with 2 hurdles races in France on heavy finishing runner up both occasions.

Happy Dex ptp and flat race both on good to yielding so something of an unknown for her.

La Prima Donna well beaten by SDM but shes a top filly by the looks of things in France. GeeGeeBanker who is very in depth with his French racing thinks she was the best 4yo.

Watching the race back, both were at the back, before LPD jumped slightly to her right and became detached. When SDM made her move, donna was still stone last probably 10ls behind her still. Stayed on pretty nicely under not too hard a ride.

Even next time she was far back, jumped right and i don't think the jockey gave her the best of rides, going to the rail but there was traffic in front of her, he then had to switch it when it was far too late.

That’s a very tough looking debut for my girl La Prima Donna. If they’re all trying then the winner will be decent I’d think.

Yep, Happy D'ex is better than she's shown last time, but worth noting the horse of Colin's moved to Elliots after and was well beaten by Allegorie De Vassy.

Mi Lighthouse is a "travelly" thing so i'd hope they are up to beating her.

Dinoblue is the impossible one to weigh up.

The Dinoblue entry is very interesting given she’s unraced in any discipline. She’d have to be top drawer to be up to winning this. On paper she’s nice as she’s a half sister to Blue Sari. Intriguing.

                            • Interesting to see the sea of blue on oddschecker for Elle Est Belle for the Supreme, has something been said? General 25s and 33s now from 50s and 66s with multiple firms.

                              • Robbie Wilders sent an email out from Racing Post at 4pm that tipped her up at 66-1. Briefly hedged his bets by saying that Skelton may opt to run her in the mares novice near the foot of the email, but that hasn’t put people off seemingly.
