2022 Mares Novices Hurdle

She did go off 10/11 fav in a bumper so was clearly expected to beat grangee who was 18/1

She looked very much the winner but completely emptied close home and grangee flew from the back

Be interesting to see how she does

She was being talked up a fair bit last season from memory, I had her backed antepost in the bumper (can't remember the price) but obviously never appeared after getting done over by Grangee at Leopardstown.

Just a warning on searching for Brandy Love, if at work / next to wife - recommend doing it through the search functionality on the Racing Post / Sporting life / GG website as opposed to a classic google search....the horse is named after a particular lady with no doubt a great finishing kick in the home straight

All Willie has said is that she needs further than 2m in all stable tours (even to the extent that we wouldn't see her at 2m I think I remember reading) so I cashed out my bets for this a few weeks ago. Hoping she's running over 2m just to get a run rather than because he's now decided she's a 2 miler!

She's clearly good, but to me she's just a galloper- whether that wins a Mares Novice i dunno.

I'd have thought JP would have been in the game long enough to realise buying off WPM and co isn't the wisest but there we go.....

Not ruling her out after just one hurdle run or anything, just that the general impression lots had was how impressive she was on debut....they generally have them ready for a reason......
