They must think plenty of her as they gave her an entry in the grade 1 over Christmas (grangee and allegorie de vassy the other two he put in)

Suggests she's one of his better mares

"She was very impressive at Limerick having won at Naas before that on very heavy ground. We put her away, she jumps very well and had done a lot of schooling before winning bumpers and she’s one of the novice hurdlers we’re really looking forward to this season."

Decent right up in the stable tour too

16s seems a little tight but obviously has significant scope to shorten, will mull it over once decs for Saturday are through

    • Think there’s a fair chance she’ll go fav for this should she win well at the weekend.

          Strong mid-season novice races.

This could be way better than the Festival chances that come from the appalling Grade 1 Novice races run at Sandown each year.

            • Surprised Elle Est Belle is going there. Carrying a 5lb penalty against some very well thought of geldings.

If EEB wins then that will shake up two markets at Cheltenham and surely the Skelton's would be considerably considering the Supreme!!

(IF is a big question though haha)

Certainly impressed me a great deal when I was there at Newbury. Big Mare with a lot of talent so could mix it with the boys. Clearly Skelton thinks a hell of a lot of her.

                  • Aye, they must do. Any sort of respectable run Saturday would look very good in the context of the Mares Novice. I'd take a decent 3rd to be honest.

Agree that if she was to win they'd have to be looking at Supreme.

                    • Yes id be happy with a 3rd not beaten too far with a view to this race from her

                        • A bit belated but I was really impressed with Rainyday Woman yesterday at Wincanton. I don't think she will go to Cheltenham this year but could be a force to be reckoned with if she goes chasing next year. She had decent bumper form and seems to be getting better with every race in her novice hurdle season. Definitely one for the tracker.

                          • Belle Metal entered on Saturday. Looks to be Willie's best chance in that race

She did go off 10/11 fav in a bumper so was clearly expected to beat grangee who was 18/1

She looked very much the winner but completely emptied close home and grangee flew from the back

Be interesting to see how she does
