and this race isn't over fences

if any horses can't be trusted its the two absolute nut jobs klassical dream and flooring porter who both have a screw loose

KD bolted at the start completely against the jockeys will the other day, is that a horse who can be trusted?

Flooring porter runs and jumps as straight as me after 10 pints

They very clearly have their own ideas about the game

I'm on FP as well but it wouldnt surprise me at all if at some point he just throws the towel in
I watched the stayers again recently and after jumping the last he had a proper look around with all the room to his left, it was almost a full jink, if ever a horse was helped with no crowd then it's this lad.

    • 3 nags no one can trust! But are the best ones in it! Great

      • Also need to think how race will be run

FP and KD need to be at front, or near and likely therefore to be run at fast pace

This could set it up for a finisher.....and can't think of a better horse with an engine to be hanging up that hill than Champ

Shame won't be Barry riding as Mr Fast Finisher.....assume Be Aidan C or mark W

Then he's absolutely cantered all over the best British stayers on his seasonal reappearance

Id have him 2/1 on the day

He has a gold cup standard engine, he just cant jump a fence

a gold cup standard horse hasn't run in this race since thistlecrack has it?
Crickey, only been gone a few minutes and I'm miles behind now

I think you make some very good points.

The only thing you've said I disagree with is that he'd be 2/1 fav - I agree with Quevega on that part... if the other two are still in it, he won't be.

Then again, Chantry House got backed into fav for a King George, so I wouldn't risk my stones on it!

What i shouldve said is i can see him being 2/1 on the day not that id make him a 2/1 shot on the day

            • His engine is his greatest asset, he’s beaten better horses than both KD and FP and that’s when he can’t jump a fence!!
Hes come back over hurdles looking half fit at best and beat the best of the British pretty comfortably .
That engine will enable him to finish the race stronger than any Other from what I have seen.
To be honest I think had he ran in this last year we probably would not even be talking about it.
              I think he’s a banker.

To add……the point about Gold Cup standard that FF makes is spot on imo

              • Hes 4/1 nrnb with paddypower

                Happy to take that

If you are able to get power ups you can boost it to 9/2 too

                • It's interesting how much the RSA form is treated as a given... I'd be pretty sure we can say Allaho improved at Cheltenham after his novice season... and Minella Indo clearly did too.

Is it not possible they improved past him?

I am not sure I'd have Champ a strong favourite to beat either of them if they met again, even over hurdles?

I have just had 0.5 pts on the Champ NRNB price by the way, and will definitely add him with some sort of dutching involved, but enjoying how devisive the horse seems to be.

                    • I said I think he’s a banker, I’m taking that back, I don’t like that term for Cheltenham.
He’s as close to it as is possible though imo.

Pretty sure he will be shorter than 4/1 on the day FF
                      Very fair

Very consistent horse, in particular over hurdles ,with his best performances imo over 3 miles.
