You're thoughts on champ are well advertised, its not surprising you don't like that price! If he pissed in in the Cleeve then you'll be forced to sing a different song

I think it is. Baring Thyme Hill you have to go down to Paisley Park @ 25's to find the next British trained runner so the fact Champ could finish 4th or 5th to Irish horses who dominate the market makes the bet very appealing. If like me you think Champ has Thyme Hills measure, what else is there this side of the Irish Sea that would worry you? I love the idea of him finishing 4th and getting paid!

It's a fair enough price at 5/4 but it's not as if today's result makes it a better bet! That's all.

I'd be looking for NRNB before backing Klassical after that performance - has to be a doubt that he'll run in the race now

He seems better after a long break on recent runs so that may of messed him up there.

Unlikely though as going is against PP.

There really is no excuse for Champ on Saturday.
PP needs soft, and Mcfab is a doubtful stayer imo, and Champ is a powerful stayer.

I still wouldn't have him. I'll be against him Saturday with McFabulous. It'll be a crawl and the ground will be against him as well. He's just as likely to throw his toys out in March like KD did today imo. He's not to be trusted after his desperate showing in the GC. But, we all think differently. I have been known to get things wrong!

Consider the actual opposition though. If you put a line through Thyme Hill who he held well at Ascot, you have to go down to PP at 25's to find the next credible British contender, and loads are confirmed as not going.
