Do you think KD would have won if each had got the others start?
It can only be an opinion but I think that he might well have done. Over 3 miles, 8 lengths isn't really significant. Kemboy was 8 lengths ahead of APT when they jumped the first in the Savills but APT was the better on the day.
If the argument is that Flooring Porter really has to lead, it doesn't say much for his versatility. I thought he seemed quite happy lobbing along in second.
I haven't had a penny on the race so I've no axe to grind.

I agree that FP ran as if he doesn’t need to lead which should encourage his supporters but at no point did I think he was going to go past. For me KD perhaps might be expected to come on for the run more but is less likely to appear on the day . As captain obvious would say it’s tight between the two.
Think the problem is with the start it’s not the 8 lengths or however many he pinched it’s the fact that it meant townend or klassical dream, If you believe Paul were allowed to control what happened. They got a breather when they wanted rather than Danny been able to control all that. Klassical dream most likely is the better horse but when he’s gotta catch then pass FP it might well be a different story
Are we all in agreement Abacadabras has to be cashed out for this now?
It was a v disappointing run. Bit like the Hatton's Grace performance where he was always too far back. I don't think that would have been the plan this time but KD's start kinda set the race out. When he eventually got within touching distance just didn't seem to have the speed to compete.
Wouldn't be surprised if they skipped Cheltenham and focused on the mid-distance hurdle at Aintree. Would definitely offload any bets at this point.
I'll give you both Champ does have an outsiders chance had I been on at 20/1 might of even considered him, sadly I'm not. Thyme Hill on the other hand I couldn't have him in a month of Sundays, he might win an Aintree Hurdle at best this season.

Thyme Hill has reached a ceiling in his form around half a stone short of winning the Stayers.
The two Irish horses would have to underperform, or not turn up, for Thyme Hill to win.
