I'm on envoi at a decent price so want him to win and the bookies to overreact to allaho simply having a jog around for fitness like he did last year

Hopefully tomorrow will give some clarity on some of those at the head of the market for this. Envoi has the benefit of a run and with some of Willie’s disappointing first time out today, you’d struggle to find excuses for him if he didn’t win tomorrow. As a Gold Cup backer, I’m hoping he wins going away and gets Cheveley thinking about the big one instead.

It will be interesting to hear what Willie has to say about Energumene after the race tomorrow too. He was one of my early fancies for this but all signs seem to be pointing towards the QMCC.

Tempted by that, but the Will-he-won’t-he issue puts me off a bit due to there being no cash out. I’d probably make him 4/6 to go for the Ryanair at the moment if you put a gun to my head, but there are all sorts to consider regarding the various options the trainer and owners have

Yes. Purposely not bet him for Ryanair for this reason. Banking on at least 6/1 after Asterion Forlonge beats him tomorrow. That'll suit me just fine.

The bookies reaction for Elimay getting beat today gives me a lot of hope.

I hope so. I think his performance in the Ballymore from 2 out, being caught out round the bend and making up the deficit in a few strides, was the most impressive love performance I've seen.

I hope he's every bit as good as Gordon and others think.
